Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone have a rough idea of the journey time from Poolbeg Street to Blessington on the 65 bus?

Would be a weekday afternoon. Thanks if you have a clue.

Looked at DB website and it seems it might be quicker to get to London! Only joking, just wondered.

I think they change horses at the Embankment so allow for that

Ha ha, as I thought. It's for my uncle with the oul pass, not me!

Might tell him to make a packed lunch for the journey so.

Thanks for the info. Jayzis. Anyway, might it be quicker to get the Luas to Tallaght and then take the bus to Blessington? He has all the time in the world now, bless him, but relies on us to sort out timings and such.

    See attached screenshot from yourstop.info

Once you look at the stop once, it's in your Stop list and you can use the scheduled mode

Thanks for that. Never heard of it before. Every day's a school day.

Once you the bus gets to tallaght it doesn't take too long , traffic wise it would be quite enough after 9am ,
Usually it can take up to 2 hours give or take ,most of the delays happen between the city centre and tallaght

Except he'd need to be sure that he is in Tallaght ahead of the expected time for the 65 to get to there. That's not fun unless he lives closer to Tallaght than town on the Luas line. For what it's worth, it takes peak hour 65B's about 40-50 minutes to get to the Spawell from town. A daytime 65 will be somewhat quicker.

the luas from the square to town is approx 50-55 mins peak time. 65 bus from same stop is about the same.

the difference is traffic and bad weather conditions can affect the bus journey a lot. I have found that off peak the bus can be quicker than luas - ive made the journey in 30-35 mins at 6.40am around christmas time etc. But at peak times the luas is always faster.

so taking the trip to town will be easier if he just stays on 65 he will get a good seat etc. Unless he is in a hurry and travelling at peak times in which case he can change at the square.
