Mould material for a clear epoxy casting

hi there, I want to cast a small stone in clear epoxy resin, pretty simple! I dont know what material to make the mould from, main concerns are: That it wont melt or react with the resin as its curing, that it wont bond or stick to the casting! I've thought about wood, or Plasticine/ modeling clay, or plastic Has anyone…

hi there,
I want to cast a small stone in clear epoxy resin, pretty simple!
I dont know what material to make the mould from,

I've seen some kits in one of the arts and crafts shops where you can make your own mould in silicone. I've never used them, though.

Ive got myself a silicon mould, also looking at finding objects that can act as a mould and be part of the finished piece too!
