Pixellation on Eir Sport 1 hd on Sky

    Hi all,

I have seen numerous mentions of this issue on twitter and have noticed it myself while watching Eir Sport 1 hd on a sky box. The pixellation makes the channel unwatchable and the standard response from eir is "We have spoken to our transmission team and they have confirmed that our pictures are leaving in full and the return feed is fine for us. The best option here would be to contact your satellite provider. Thanks"

Eir sport 2 hd didn't seem to suffer the pixellation in my experience, it has now been pulled from the sky list and has been replaced with Virgin Sport. However this is on a different transponder to Eir Sport 1 Hd anyway.

Can someone with near 100% signal strength and quality (on 11508 v 23000 2/3) confirm that have or have not pixellation? My readings are 90% and 80% for signal strength and quality so I suspect this is not causing the issue.

I am worried that removing Eir sport 2 hd from Sky will mean missing some Allianz Leagues Gaa games in 2020, I assume I will have to use the eir app to access eir sport 2 in future.:(

Any info on pixellation issue appreciated.

I've got strength of 60% and quality of 90%. So far, so good. If I notice anything I'll let you know.

I have good dish position, lnb connected to multi switch, and feeding old sky box via one cable (not two as I don't have any sub to record).

Sounds like your dish needs to be aligned properly

eir Sport 1 HD (421) is perfect on my Sky box

What is TRT World HD's picture like? EPG 516 as it's on the same frequency

Both eir channels and some of the movies were pretty poor for me . Got a new dish and relocated it and they are perfect now.

TRT suppers a little from pixellation but not as bad as Eir so will realign the dish and see how it is after thanks.

Watching Virgin Sport HD on the same transponder as Eir Sport 1 Hd and the picture never breaks up? Still haven't had a chance to adjust my dish.
Are different channels on the same transponder normally stronger / weaker?
    Thanks

As previously mentioned TRT World HD is on the same Transponder/Frequency as eir Sport 1 HD along with Racing TV HD - TP 92

Virgin Media Sport is on a different Transponder - TP 101
