Hi StrawDub,

The Apps will still work on the TV as the majority don't need a TV signal to work, they just run off Broadband however I am not too sure how it will affect the Freeview Play feature as it does need a signal to work. The TV has it's own Freeview/Saorview tuner built in so you wouldn't need to add the Combi box you can just plug the aerial directly into the TV however it does not have a satellite tuner built in.

If you are looking for a good soundbar I would recommend something like the Yamaha YAS207 at £249 which has a wireless sub, HDMI input/output and sounds amazing!
