That’s utterly demented, but I love it! :)
    You must have been wrecked?

I think I got home about 4pm, grabbed a takeaway and slept until the alarm went off for work the next day. Have only done it the one time. There are crazy people who do this all the time over on flyertalk.com!

    No I didn't!

St. Thomas and Puerto Rico were two different years, although we did fly from Atlanta to San Juan to change on to the tiny plane to St. Thomas. We used to visit friends in the US and add on a random destination every time. Hence my extensive US list ;)

PS thanks for reminding me of Long Beach, that's #79 for me!

    :(

MrsTeal did her degree in Dundee. I was a sales manager in Dublin back then so thankfully was able to pick my own hours/days and because of this I travelled to Dundee every two weeks, for nearly 4 years. Now I must say, I had the timing down to a fine art so the waiting around was never too bad. The worst bit was landing in Edinburgh and catching a bus into the middle of a city that is one of my favourites to then catch a bus/train up to Dundee, which is. . .well. . . Dundee

Anyway, I'm not going to create a long list as most of the airports I've been to have been mentioned (and it turns out I'm not that well travelled compared to most) so I'll add a little list of what may be seen as "uncommon" ones:

    Aberdeen
    Cleveland
    White Plains
    Nantes
    Tunis

Oh that's just reminded me I did Tresco in the Scilly Isles. Can't edit my post any more so that's #80 and I'm sure I've missed some. Greta Thunberg would hate me!

I think I've flown from/to 67 airports. My favourite airports are Vancouver and Sea-Tac. They were pleasant places as far as airports go. Athens, Bratislava and Krakow airports were surprisingly nice as well.

The worst airports I've passed through are Warsaw Modlin (it's a shed), Terminal 2 in Lisbon (just a bigger shed) and Manchester airports (chaotic when I was there).

The strangest experience I've had was at Ben Gurion. Our flight was delayed twice in the terminal. They finally boarded the flight (we were bused out to the plane) late in the evening and we were taxiiing down the runway. We stopped, waited for final clearance for take off for ages and then the Captain made an announcement over the PA system that the tower was closed and that we would have to go back to the terminal and disembark. We had to wait overnight in the airport until the following morning for the flight to leave. I've often wondered why our flight was rescheduled to take off when the tower was closed

Will be adding Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport and Kyiv-Boryspil Airport before the end of the year.

I would love to try Donegal Airport.

Oh, I viewed Kandahar as a Canadian facility. Complete with hockey rink and Tim Horton's.

This was the security checkpoint back in late 2009 or so.

Note that I am equipped with everything the Army felt I needed to enjoy my stay in Afghanistan. Note also that there is a display of prohibited items in the back on the wall, mainly knives. I had to put my knife in checked baggage, whilst the rifle, sidearm, and some 400 rounds of ammunition went through the x-ray machine.

I asked the RAF MP if he realised how stupid this was. He said yes, but he didn't make the rules.
