question re poetry comps

I have a few poems I wrote that I'd like to enter into a (any) poetry competition. When the rules of a comp say entries are only for previously unpublished work does that mean if I posted a poem here on Boards, would that disqualify me?

Yes, but we can remove the poem from here for you.

Thanks for that. Does that mean I could maybe post up a few poems (2 or 3), get a bit of feedback and then remove the thread?

Would that be risky, I wonder.

I've done it! Personally I think workshopping is not the same as publishing, but I'd always remove the post before submitting.
