Funny, I always thought it would be telling people that I can't stand the sound of MeMuircheartaigh's voice that would turn me into a stateless person.

    Check out this edgelord.
The last person I recall calling somebody else an 'edgelord', said that he was inherently superior to 98% of the human population.

And he got confused when someone replied... 'yore ma!'.

I'd never done it before, it's probably a dated term by now but it felt right there. I can tick that one off my list. I still have yet to call someone the likes of a cuck or a libtard though, so those glorious days are still ahead of me.

Given that I've no idea what an edgelord is, I have no idea whether I've been praised or insulted. I'm going with the first one.

To direct quote from this person who was inherently superior to 98% of the human population,
"Edgelord is an internet insult u diphits"

I would really like to copy pasta the whole conversation for you's verbatim, as it is gold reread material, but i don't have consent from alll parties.

Ah no, no major insult intended. Thanks for stopping by our game, is there a song you do rate which you would have submitted for that torturous Eurovision round? Not to rip the piss of it, just for context. Other non-players in this game have thrown in some suggestions for songs that they thought should have been entered in the various rounds.

I was hoping to have the reveal for this round tonight, but it's looking like it will be Thursday from 8pm instead. Sorry to Electric Nitwit and anyone else who will miss out.

The kind of vibe I was going for when I was thinking of having a 'Forever Young' round...

Kind of a depressing round. So now we know when. But *How* does the reveal begin?

    It starts with one.....

(Not my entry, but any excuse :) )

Don't worry, no offence taken, I should have added a smiley at the end of my post. :D

It's a tough one because I generally wouldn't be a fan of the sort of acts that enter the Eurovision. However if I had to go for one it would probably be Always Something There to Remind Me by Sandy Shaw. Imo a far better song than the one she won the competition with.

    Epic tune!

I did think of LP but decided they were past their prime when Chester sadly left us, so didn't quite qualify

I wore out Hybrid Theory, literally. Wouldnt even play anymore:(

    Was absolutely brilliant.

There was the promise that he might pull first Velvet Revolver, then STP, then Audioslave back but none of them ever happened. Not properly. If I'm honest I hated linkin park, till I was forced to watch them live and they were fantastic (with a surprisingly decent body of recognisable tunes to boot). Still, you're probably right. But then if we're brutally honest with ourselves, Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, Elvis, Scott Weiland, Dimebag - too soon, sure but in their prime? Uh uhn.

****, Shannon Hoon! It even rhymes with too soon! Ah balls. Too late now.

Listened to that so much back in the day that I can still call the songs up note for note in my memory. Meteora had some great tunes also :)

Me neither, but it was still an interesting round where I learned a couple of things. For example, I didn't know that 'Always Something There to Remind Me' was a Eurovision song

Sandie Shaw won eurovision in '67 with puppet on a string.

so, with loophole activated, 'sandie shaw - always something there to remind me' should be allowable ;)

Oh right. Interesting loophole, someone could have entered 'My Heart Will Go On' from Titanic.

The reason for the loophole was to make it broader if you weren't interested in actual Eurovision entries. I didn't want to have it too niche basically, so players had an opportunity to express themselves if they wished :)

We all know it was a stipulation in Stus contract, he wouldn't sign up to be a judge without it.. We mainly saw through it and subjected him to Eurovision entries anyways

If someone had entered that, I probably wouldn't have come last :D

So in terms of this upcoming category, Stu has put forward a few that would have done well with him...

    Now it's my turn

    Whats the next category?

    'Forever Young'.

I'm hosting this one and hope to have it up and running from 8pm tonight.

Did ye intentionally swap categories, or accidentally forget about the dance one? :D

Swapped to keep the alternating judge shtick going.

Lord/Lady of the Dance is next with me back at the wheel :D

After the Irish round Necro made the improvised call, a good one IMO, to schedule the rest of the rounds so that they would have alternating hosts according to who came up with the category.

I came up with 2 categories for this game - Irish Song and Forever Young, if we had have kept the original schedule with Lord of the Dance up next, Necro would have hosted 2 rounds in a row. That would have been fine, but I think this is better. For the 6th and final round, we will take turns with each reveal post.

After tonight, there are 2 rounds left to reveal and we are aiming to have the game completed by next Wednesday night...give or take a day.

Edit: Necro answered it better and with fewer words. My damn verbosity

:pac: As long as no one entered Starship Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now things will be fine. The previous Walruses have put me off that song for the forseeable future
