China travel adaptor plug??

HI - looking to find out if I need a convertor or adaptor plug whilst travelling in china. I have googled but getting mixed responses so thought someone on here might know for sure. I really only will need to charge my phone . Thanks

You won't need a converter, they have the same voltage as us. Though these days virtually all phone chargers can handle 100-240V so you never need to convert the local voltage.

The type of adapter you'll need may depend on which part of China you're going to.....

@coylemj and @spurious : thanks both for the info, this helps alot. I am spending a few weeks travelling between Beijing and Shanghai - will order the type A convertor and hopefully that will cover majority of time

That is not my experience, I always had type I
