Freaking out loads after talking to 2 examiners from my area. 1 of my subjects had a lovely bellcurve while the other was marked harsher than the previous year. Kill me.

Avoid the examiners at all cost. And if you have any doubts about your grades , view them and get the recheck.

And remember this year if you want to see the scripts, you have to register and apply online.

Got all honours or passes, no fails so I was delighted. All I needed was 5 passes for my course.

Happy, but think I just missed out on my first choice sadly. Handy that you can see your marks online now though! .5% out of the next grade for Irish which is a bummer so may appeal that depending on the points that get released today!

555, but I'm scared cuz I have hear but I don't know if I'll make the cut for my course (589 last yr). Praying for myself and everyone here!!!

Just got my offer over text there, half an hour early! I got my course?? It dropped by over 20 points!

I got the course I want, (dentistry), but not the college I want (trinity). I got it in cork and I'm in dublin so I'm kinda scared rn!

    Cork is a nice city.

    Does mean extra cost tho.

Any chance Dublin might drop into your lap in R2?

Funnily enough, I'm just back from the dentist with a numb jaw ... :D

Got medicine in Trinity (second choice), seems like the med places in UCD for DARE were filled by priority applicants. Still so delighted.

You'll be in my wee sister's class so! She's only delighted with herself. Congrats! :)

BDS from Cork arguably the best degree in the country.

I've heard good things about that course so hopefully you'll enjoy it!

Yeah I had a friend who was dying to get in to the UCC dentistry course because of its reputation but didn’t get it. She ended up going to Queens instead.

Anyone else think that the format of the online viewing of the scripts isn’t great? I wish they put down the number marks rather than just ticks or x’s everywhere.

How’s everybody getting on with choosing modules and stuff! Really exciting, remember coming into this thread in 5th year haha :) finding it hard to decide between introduction to marketing and introduction to management and organization but will decide eventually!
    Makes everybody else doing? :)

That’s a toughie. Both are so important. The only thing I can say is that you’ll definately study both at some stage again if it’s a business degree.

Yeah! Ended up going for marketing, spoke to people who said you can always do a management course down the road easier anyway! BIS here i come

Enjoy!! Took some business credits in my own degree and I really enjoyed them. I might go back to get more credits yet!

I'm a bit surprised that you get to choose modules so early. In first and second year engineering, everyone did the same modules, then we specialised stream in third year. We could choose one of our modules that year among the ones mandatory for the stream. I got to choose a little more in fourth year and I get the most choice next year.

The engineering in CIT and business in CIT are like that, same with engineering in UCC. The business courses though you choose a bit. My BIS course has about 8 Cores with some IT and some business since the course is 50/50. I could choose then between introduction to management and introduction to marketing.

2nd year you build off the cores and then you can choose more electives based on the one you chose in 1st year or you can just totally change,

4th year then you can really choose if you wanna do more business or more IT (mainly why I chose it!)

I do agree that a common 1st year is a good start for every course though.
