    Hello all,

I am planing to install wooden floors on first floor of my house and underneath master bedroom is my "recording studio" (no huge noise, mostly me recording myself talking) as many times I do it at night time I want my wife and 3 month old have peace and quite upstairs.

To the point, I thought that I could use the time when I put new floor to soundproof it. What would be good move to do so? So far by google search I found this E-Board Plus Sound Proofing Underlay but it is fairly expensive so I was wondering if there are cheaper and maybe even better ways of doing that.

Any advice is welcome but the workers starting mid of next week so I would like to be prepared.

    Thanks

E-Board plus is a fantastic product, premium and the price reflects that. 55dB sound impact reduction is pretty much as good as it gets. The Acoustica underlays are quiet good, you can get a very affordable solution that will give a 23dB reduction pretty easily at a fraction of the price. Before anyone says, you cannot double layer them.
