Serie A back with a bang, that Fiorentina-Napoli games was brilliant to watch. Blows the sterotype of Serie A being boring out of the water. VAR has its obvious flaws but it provides so much drama, I love it.

Napoli really needed that win having to go to Juventus next week, surprised they looked so open at the back though.

From watching the highlights it looked like a great game. Pulgar looked good for Fiorentina.

Ronaldo was like a man possessed in the other game. He took so many shots even by his standards. Juve vs Napoli is next week's game.

Napoli's Smurf Squad kept them out of trouble today.

New season but the same old Milan, still absolute poison to watch.

    Very much deserved by Udinese

They have been the much better team

Everything that Fiorentina vs Napoli was last night that game was the opposite. A very poor game to watch.

Hell of a free-kick from Kolarov. Spal vs Atalanta looked a fun game too with Atalanta coming back to win from 2-0 down. Muriel getting off to a great start.

Are there any good Serie A weekly highlight shows these days? I normally catch a game or 2 a week but I'd like to keep a closer eye on the league as a whole. I'll often look at Livescore after a game I've watched a see that I missed some crackers on elsewhere. Take tonight for example, I watched Barca Betis instead.

You can usually find the goals online but they don't paint half the picture that a 10/15mins highlights reel would.

    I miss Football Italia!

There's a good youtube channel for highlights from every game.

What a show, one of the reasons I fell in love with Serie A.

I didn't know the Rome derby was this weekend until I seen it mentioned on the highlights show. 5pm on Sunday. Saturday night is Juve vs Napoli; hopefully the hosts will allow people from Napoli enter the game after bizarrely banning them a few weeks ago.

P.S. I was certain that Trevor Francis was dead until I heard him (very much alive) commentating on the Sampdoria vs Lazio game. :o

Great goal from Brozović! Good start for Inter.

Senci! Inter two to the good now.

Only tuned in now, nice 2nd goal.

Any more on Icardi? I have a look every day for news but there's not much out there other than he got the 7 shirt, Lukaku getting 9.

Lukaku should've shot there. 3 on 2 with the defenders being dragged either side

Wanda said on Tiki Taka last night that he wants to stay and has turned down some very good offers already, she also said that someone in management told him that he would get a chance if he does stay.

Hard to see him not getting a chance. He's a top striker IMO but he's made his bed and looks to have made a mess of his immediate career a the least, crazy stuff altogether

I'd expect Conte to give him a chance if he stays, for me he is one of the best goal scorers in the world and is definitely a better player than Lukaku imo. The problems were mostly with Spalletti and Perisic but the club backed Spalletti and handled the whole situation terribly. I think Conte would now be happy to have him seeing as he has already got Lukaku.

His biggest problem is his wife. Some of the stuff I've read that the is reported to have said has surely pissed of Inter.

    Lukaku offside surely?

As mad as a box of frogs I'd say, both of them!

Candreva still has the cracker in his locker.

The Conte affect taking full effect, Inter looked a cut above the rest tonight, albeit against a newly promoted side. Candreva looks like a new man under Conte, already a goal of the season contender. Lukaku and Lautaro looked like a real partnership, even though both of them were lacking sharpness, seemed to know each others movement instinctivley. No way Icardi forces his way back into this squad. Let's hope someone can break Juve's dominance.
