Var in England is just ****e.

First week of Var gave us some headache, but at least those decisions were technically correct.

Now I don't know what they do.

Mike Dean was afraid to give it or what???

VAR seem to be reluctant to overturn a decision, unless it's factual - like a handball or offside - whereas I think any subjective situation is different.

Has any ref so far this season, gone to the touch line to re-watch on the screen, or do they just take the opinion of the VAR team?

Also is the VAR team the same for all matches or are there different people in the room giving opinions?

Now non intentional fouls in penalty area don't count, but handball do.

    What a joke :)

Ridiculous - Mike Dean waiting for VAR to give it, then VAR not giving it cause they don’t reckon it’s clear and obvious enough an error to change the refs decision.

This is my thinking - so on the flip side - had Mike Dean given it, would they not overrule him as it's not "clear and obvious enough"?

I give up with the referees in Premier league now.

Think in addition to the VAR not wanting to give penalties where the player isn't literally hacked down, referees are more reluctant to give penalties themselves because they know it'll be looked at by VAR anyway, leading to less penalties than you'd have seen last season.
