Reading is overrated. Not like it shouldn't be done but advantages of it are completely overstated. It's just another form of entertainment/media.

Making loads of money in some soul crushing job- Nobody actively wants a soul crushing job but they'll cope by pursuing some job blindly by the lure of the pay check. Whatever floats your boat, but **** me, not for me mate.

The gym- Going to the gym isn't the be all and end all of positive living that people make it out to be. In can have negative side effects such as increased body anxiety/ unhappiness and obsession. It's good to a certain point but I've found I sometimes feel better when I abandon it and just focus on jogging, a few sprints a few times a week and long walks with some homemade workouts thrown in.

Is bad sex better than no sex though?

Overrated - love island (load of bollexe)

Underrated - the smell of no kids in the morning

If anything, I'd say Love Island is underrated. If you take it as not scripted(which is hard to look beyond) it's an insight into human psychology and attraction and a whole host of other behavioural and social customs. The problem with it is, it's just so bland. They are literally all just regular joe soaps who are looks obsessed so the entertainment is pretty much equivalent to your typical office. They need to get better contestants with TV star quality.

I have to admit, I've never watched it. The trailer on the telly was enough for me.

Another overrated thing is British humour. Especially how people offset it against American. I think most people just think because they curse more(they really don't though) it makes it funnier.

Also insert any American fast food establishment that people wish was in Ireland. Take ''in and out'' in California, it's delicious but it's not like you can'g get a good burger and chips in Ireland. In and Out suits the California landscape, if it was along the M50 would just look poxy

Reading overrated and Love Island underrated.

    I despair.

I don't watch Love Island but some people act as if something like Stranger Things(no idea if this is your view) has way more value than something like Love Island. Both are just for entertainment, both can be seen as interesting/having value or lame and waste of time depending on perspective.

Disagree, but each to their own. I believe that Peter Sellers, John Cleese, Chris Morris & Sacha Baron Cohen are among the funniest people that ever drew breath. Special mention to Peter Cook, an underrated genius.

Speaking of overrated, Mrs. Brown's Boys is the pits of the world.

    WTF does that smell like?

I love some of them(Cohen and Ali G) but take the inbetweeners, it's funny and so British but I hate those bellends that make british comedy out to be lame because they compare it to American humour by being more refined. They think it's a good thing but they actually make British humour seem cringeworthy.

Overrated: paying €500 to sleep in a leaky Aldi tent in the middle of a muddy field with a smell coming from the row of hundreds of clogged portaloos just so you can listen to some bands who were big in the 90s fail to copy the sound of the songs the produced in a perfect studio environment aided by computers and autotuners.

Underrated: paying for the fast pass at theme parks. You haven't lived until you pass the same angry man for the 3rd time in 20 minutes as you skip ahead for another go on the ride he has been waiting for 2 hours for.

Of course it has more value, to make stranger things talented people where required, talented people where not required for love Island. Love Island is chewing gum entertainment
