Have you any proof of the claims you constantly make?

    Prestonites

The cheek of you to say this to me have i proof and then announce you are employed by the very organization we are talking about.

I have a few quick comments to make, the gaa are made up of two organizations in my opinion.
There is a great grassroots organization that do most of their work on a volunteer basis.
There is then the corporate gaa who seem a bit like NAMA, Hotels, property and all on very large salaries, i seen since my 10% on admin the actual figure for 2017 was 17%

This high end gaa is ran in a similar fashion to what is going on with the charity sector with big salaries and a few pages in the annual report.

    Back to original question,
The points system someone mentioned may be a good idea, maybe give the people if their county involved some myltiplier formula to give them a deserved advantage as this be my priority.

If you have a season ticket and your team didn't make the final you can go into a draw for tickets. I think you need 90% attendance though.

You need a 100 per cent and there is only teo pairs of tickets for 100 per cent attendance for non participating season ticket holders.

Plenty will be there for both finals with 0% attendance. I don't think that's fair.
Genuine fans who pay their money over regularly contribute much more than a one-off attendee and should be respected.

What percentage of tickets do not go through the clubs? Two tickets for every MEP for example

There aren’t pairs of tickets for the winners of the draw with 100% attendance. We came out in that draw one year and received one ticket. We had to collect it at the ticket office on the Sunday morning. We actually gave it to a cousin’s wife who is originally from Mayo. That was quite a few years ago though so maybe it has changed since

That's shocking. Not even a pair of tickets.

My post was in reference to the poster who said season ticket was no good for neutrals, I was saying that it would be worthwhile getting one if you go to loads of games but your county aren't likely to feature in an All Ireland Final. Though it has since been pointed out that the requirements are harsher and likelihood of reward slim.

I don't think it's too much to ask that tickets for other games could be weighted to your season ticket, even bought through a ticket portal like Bring a Friend.

Eg Person has a Tyrone season ticket with 100% attendance for Tyrone games, also got ticket for the Mayo Dublin semi and the Mayo Meath and Kerry Donegal quarters.

Yeah pretty bad alright, you also have to pay for the ticket which is understandable but you had to do it by card over the phone. We were thinking it was a scam at first but they had our season ticket numbers.

We have four season tickets and usually have 100% attendance as we travel to all the league games as well as championship. Thankfully it has paid off this year and we are looking forward to the final. Kerry season ticket holders who are extremely embarrassed by all the kerfuffle over Gough. The best team will win regardless of the ref, I’m not confident of stopping the five in a row and if Dublin do it I will congratulate the supporters near me and head off home looking forward to next year. We are very proud of this team and management and know we are on the right road.

If there are Dublin or Kerry fans with more matches attended then they probably shouldnt.
It's the finals-only people I have an issue with... it isn't them who are constantly funding the GAA

Neutral counties season ticket holders require 100% attendance so I'm not too sure how one can surpass that.:)

There are GAA people all over the country that go to the All Ireland final every year and have done so for time eternal.

There's plenty of room in Croker on All Ireland final day for such loyal supporters based on my observations of championship match day attendances.
As posters have already mentioned raffling All Ireland tickets is a great fundraiser for clubs country wide.

I have two for hurling and football in the Premium. Its worth throwing a few contracts around to our builder friends

You're not guaranteed to get tickets for the final if as a neutral you have 100% attendence for your own county under the season ticket, you only get entered in a draw.

If your team does not make it to the All-Ireland Final but you have attended 100% of your county's matches in the League & Championship you will be automatically entered into a draw for All-Ireland tickets.

I wonder how many who go to 100% get tickets. Does the 100% include league and championship?

Was easy enough everywhere I think. Saw couple of different people in WhatsApp groups mentioning tickets available if wanted.

I gave away a freebie premium on here on the liam McCarthy thread here. Alot of tickets were round the ground alright. Football final is different the ones around will be expensive .

I was offered a single and a pair but I needed three together. Seemed to be more knocking around than usual.

There was a huge return from Certain county boards who had been issued their allocation. I believe we need to re evaluate how we issue tickets and to who. As the reissues tend to fall into the wrong hands and end up sold outside the hogan stand pub or dorset street which is wrong.

It’s a good point about the allocations. The day before the 2017 hurling final between Galway & Waterford a friend of mine who lives in predominantly footballing county rang me and asked if I fancied going to the final.

His club’s allocation was four tickets and he was the only taker. I surprised that no one else was interested but he said that nearly every the they returned at least one or two tickets sometimes the full allocation.

If a county is year on year returning a large amount of tickets then reduce their allocation and redistribute those to the participating counties.

The issue is Leinster and Ulster provincials are famous for not using their full allocation. Outside the finalists the benefactors for tickets are as follows.
•Provincial boards (They issue to clubs within their remit)
    •Semi Finalists
•Provincial Champs (If different to finalists)
    •Corps
    •Sponsors

If available general sale. 1 board completely abuse this and dont move their allocation on but still claim it so not to lose their ratio for football final. 1100 odd tickets returned on thursday for the final sunday last week. They then come to croker and allow those with money on their mind to sell them on and make something. Its wrong and its a joke. I handed away 11 premiums for less then face value on here to boardsies who are genuine GAA people who couldnt get a ticket. Disgrace. 3 days will CBs get Sam tickets we will have the same come next week

Is there any hope I wonder of tickets for the football going on general sale like the hurling? Major boo boo this year and forgot to pay club membership back home (I don't live in Kerry anymore and pay membership now where I live for myself and the kids) so not in the draw for tickets.

Any ideas where I could pick one up? I've lads at home looking out for unused but the consensus is they will all be taken up.

Or if any kind soul on here would have or know of someone who might have a spare I'd be more than happy to buy it from them? Thanks a mill

100% no general sale for the football. Meeting this morning in HQ regarding them releasing Nally on General last week allowing people purchase up to 4 plays into touts hands.

I think all of Dublin will want to be there for the five in a row so expect a big demand and maybe of interest to the neutrals as well.

Don't know what kind of support kerry will bring.

You might pick up a ticket on the day around Croke park but it could be tight enough on the day.
