    micks, maybe you could explain your definition of horror movie, cause we are going by the largly accepted one.
    Horror is a genre of speculative fiction which is intended to frighten, scare, disgust, or startle its readers by inducing feelings of horror and terror.

    2) Slowly sliding into a sharks mouth and watch helplessly while it's teeth munch down on you

    3) boy eaten on lilo

    4) man swallowed whole with only leg remaining

    5) dog killed off screen

    6) murderous and awesome theme tune

    7) woman horribly murdered by shark while actress nearly died by pully system for scene.

    Cabin though I loved it is not a horror movie, never mind the fact Dawn is imo the second best zombie movie ever made. Dawn wins that one easily.

    Jaws vs 28DL is a tough one. Jaws absolutely is a horror movie however so is 28DL. Jaws is a simple idea and plays on a real human fear and is something that could happen. 28DL could conceivably happen too given but its still a bit in the sci fi realm, for that reason Jaws edge it, only just mind.

    The problem with Jurassic Park is that as s theme park it lacks the insidious horror of creeping additional costs for remote queuing, premium passes, refillable drinks, jeyfobs and photos... They're quite direct about how they're going to kill you, so it seems quite whimsical

    The story that Quint tells certainly is true. And the inspiration for the book is very loosely based on a series of shark attacks New Jersey 1916
