I never got the thing about DiCaprio's looks. He was ordinary enough in his youth, completely nondescript in middle age. None of which detracts from his ability, I think he's a good actor. He's just not a heart throb.

It's all about diversity and inclusion these days Bobblehats. Teeth of all colour are welcome everywhere.

Only the black ones get removed. The illusion of a full set of pristine white delph is still the desired method :D

Like a middle class brasilian. Depp’s bad teeth are designer bad teeth they may look cool but they hide the cracks and inconsistencies behind the smile

A woman in my job was talking about him a few weeks ago, she is 51 and I swear to god nearly had an orgasm even saying his name! It was just me and her in the canteen and it made me feel equal parts uncomfortable and jealous she went on about him so much.
I bet if I checked the chair she was sitting on when she left it would have been soaked through

That’s what I’ve found too, that women who like him are practically climaxing whilst talking about him. I’m there meekly saying “I don’t think he’s great-looking”.

Also Idris Elba,i just dont get the love.Hes very meh.

I think Idris Elba with facial hair is handsome. Without it, I don't find him remotely attractive.

Johnny Depp is horrendous looking now, but Cry Baby era Depp was beautiful.

Beautiful is probably a good word for young JD. I like a more masculine look so I don't find him particularly attractive even in his youth.

Idris Elba in The Office was very handsome. He's getting a bit on the old side now but when he was young he was yum.

Mathew St. Patrick is my favourite black hottie. Just ridiculously good-looking. I lolled when Claire jokingly called him ‘Big Black Sex Cop’ in Six Feet Under.

I don't fancy him at all but I do think he's more appealing with the beard.
But sure we like what we like :)

    So you like beards.

Beards are like masks. Masks of machismo. But what’s behind the mask?

I've no preference for them either way, in that it's not something I need a man to have to find him attractive. A beard suits some people and enhances their face, others I don't find that to be the case.

Let’s just say then a beard can cover a blemish.

I had to look him up, name wasn't familiar.

    Oh, my. :)

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who thinks she's attractive. She was pretty when younger but was known more for her antics than her attractiveness.

    Good point.

Almost every man looks instantly better with stubble or preferably beard.

    I wholeheartedly concur.

The picture of Idris Elba is a prime example, Jamie Dornan is another one. Clean shaven, he’s just meh. A bit of stubble or a full beard and he’s gorgeous.
Hugh Jackman all hairy as wolverine...

    Exhibit A

Looking good without a beard is true measure of a man

Also, I have a a theory that beards just photo better than clean shaven.

I'm looking at it through male eyes and for me Elba looks FAR better with facial hair than without.

I think pretty much every man I know looked a lot better with facial hair then without; men are supposed to have hair on the face IMO.

Except those men with a good chin. My missus hates beards, no wonder. My chin is shaved to perfection every morning. Men with good cheekbones are a dying breed, but we're still out there. We're not all fat fckus.

I think Jamie Dornan looks just as good without a beard.

Those with big plump upper and lower lips. Find it so trashy looking.

So what you're saying is the real reason that my Mrs insists on my being ruggedly beardy....
Is that I'm a bit of a minger and the beard pushes me from a 4/10 to 7/10?
    :P

Altho since I've dropped a little weight and my cheekbones are back ;)
I've been between clean shaven and stubbly rather than beardy.

Certainly in some cases that can be true, George Clooney would be a great example of that clean shaven look which looks well.

But stubble/beard can make a mans face much more interesting, as long as it's well groomed obviously.

For me I just like having a beard, I don't think I'll ever be clean shaven again.

Without wanting to be 'that guy' - I gave up shaving long before the beard thing became ubiquitous. No matter what way I went about shaving - it just ruined my face.. my skin simply could never take to it so I just stopped and started trimming. Even tried a dry razor with the same result.

I just simply wouldn't ever go back. It is not about looks for me more the comfort and ease of it.
