Good idea putting the Reg here.
Have you reported it to donedeal? I went to view a car 2 years ago and found out it was clocked when I checked. I reported it to donedeal and it was removed. He kept reposting but I got it removed within 12 hours every time, I Included the car report in my contact with donedeal.

    171 Ford Fiesta

    - 17,000 miles
    - 1.2 litre
    - Northern Reg so VRT comes into play.

    Selling for €7000

Would be a great car if true but surely that can't be legit.

Wrong thread. Cars can realistically do 8500 miles per year without being clocked.
Price is a bit on the low side though.

I only do 7,500 miles a year on my car......14 km over & back to work each day

My wife does about 5,000 miles a year......only drives to work on wet days, walks otherwise.

My daughter has a mini - does about 3,000 miles a year...only driven at weekends and in the evenings...cycles to work

Although always wary of low mileage (and rightly so) I would query the owner as to why it is so low...could be genuine.

Friend of a friends traded in her 141 Fiesta a few weeks ago. Under 30k km on it.

Probably best to stick to cars that are actually clocked and for sale. Putting up the reg should make it easier if someone googles it and stop someone getting landed with a lemon.

Do a screen shot of car and ad as when taken down all is lost.....

Agreed, I got rid of my 172 Clio last week with 16k Kms on it.
Low mileage isn't all that rare IMO and is often a reason to get rid of a car.
Capital tied up for not enough use.

My 161 A4 has 35k kms done since I bought it new. Hoping to change in 2020.

Will be hoping the low mileage makes it easier to sell/trade.

I'd be more concerned with the possibility of finance owing than the mileage on that tbh

Clocking seems to be back in vogue, both here and in the UK. Have been looking at campervans recently....

On UK EBay, oldish one, 1997, higher end of price for year, with picture of dash showing 70k miles. Quick check with DVLA shows last 2 years MOT's showing 114k miles.

Bid was up to 7 grand sterling. Contacted seller who said that the picture of the dash was a mistake, taken by his father! but refused to declare that on the auction which had an hour to run.

I reported it to Ebay but van was sold at £7,500. Never heard anything back and vehicle never re-appeared.

Ireland needs a computerised, public accessible system like the DVLA.

    TT

This thread is not a good idea. And it went off the tracks pretty much immediately.
Do not post reg numbers without 100% proof car is clocked, and even then threads like this are too open to people posting wrong information by mistake or on purpose.
Boards isn't going to take risks over mistakes posted by anon accounts.
    Take your proof to https://www.ccpc.ie/consumers/cars/car-clocking/
