I'm not familiar or interested in old military stuff, but the few that are in the window at the minute are not expensive at all, 15/20 quid on the little handwritten price tags with string we're talking here. I'll have a gawk in on Monday maybe and ask about the significance of the medals and post back. In saying that, if they are being sold at that price bracket I'd assume that there were plenty issued over the course of the war, so maybe not much of a rarity.

There were a couple of long service medals issued to members of the SS. 4 years being the most common one. Then 8 years, obviously being rarer. Then 12 and a hopeful 25 years, which I doubt anyone got, for obvious reasons.
