Looking to buy an hour from waterdford city (ballymacarby, newcastle/kilbrien) anyone

Hi everybody would be great to get some advice myself partner and two lo, s are looking to buy a house about an hour from waterford city the areas of newcastle, ballymacarby, kilbrien there countryside setting and we have been rwading up and hear not some nice things about waterford but nothing about the outskirts and what ot like two live just trying to think ahead before jumping and regretting the move. Anyone know about schools also what shopping like and people we dont go out for the nighlife more the country style side of living be great for anyone help on areas shops atm postoffices doctors local knowlexge would be appreciated xox
