    Has anyone watched Moore's Fahrenheit 11/9?

    How does it compare to Fahrenheit 9/11 is it a companion piece to Moore's original.

    The top 10 most streamed shows in the UK.

    I'd guess it's pretty much the same in Ireland.

    8 of the shows are on Netflix 2 are on Amazon.

    :: Friends (Netflix)

    :: The Grand Tour (Amazon)

    :: The Crown (Netflix)

    :: Stranger Things (Netflix)

    :: Peaky Blinders (Netflix)

    :: Black Mirror (Netflix)

    :: The Big Bang Theory (Netflix)

    :: Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Netflix)

    :: The Good Place (Netflix)

    :: Vikings (Amazon)
    What period does this cover?
    The Boys (Amazon) would make it I would think

    Nope, it's nothing to do with Fahrenheit 9/11. It's focused on Trump and his winning of the presidential race.

    I've heard The Boys has broken lots of viewing records and immediately renewed.
    What I've seen so far has been brilliant.

    i've watched it , i think with the amount of footage of trump already out there and its so clear that he's a massive tool . it's not got the impact of Moore's previous films

    I use this thread to see what’s coming up next month. I’m not a particular fan of Netflix so only watch the odd movie or show but like to see what is just or about to come out and I find Netflix infuriating for the way it suggests shows.

    That Peppa Pig documentary was fairly harrowing stuff.

    What I'd really love Netflix to implement is a better way for me to know stuff on my list is going to expire soon. Updates on that would be great! ;)

    I do think the regular updates have somewhat stifled regular recommendations though I don't understand why. Maybe it has just been a dry period for Netflix and no one has anything to recommend.

    From a business point of view that would be terrible for Netflix.

    Why would they give the competition the heads up to when there rights are up especially if the are negotiating to get them back.

    If they openly put out the end of there contract then Amazon and others can jump into those contract negotiations.

    But the competition can find out if they want. Some sites list what's leaving
    https://uk.flixable.com/leaving-netflix/

    Not always a complete list but gives a good idea. But I agree they should give some warning that shows are leaving in a week or whatever. 12 Monkeys left and I wasn't aware. For some the contracts expire but are renewed, which is why they show up in peteeeed's list even though they were already on Netflix.

    And I agree with the others that peteeeed's list is useful. Maybe Netflix should actually put them in their own update page, but having to go to another site to find out isn't too user friendly

    A good work around would be to send the customer a notification for anything on their "Watch list" which may be leaving netflix soon, and then just keep the actual expiry times hidden as they are.. :)

    As others have pointed out this info can already be found. The competition will be competing for properties they want regardless of when it expires anyway.

    What kind of older shows do they have on Netflix? I wouldn't mind seeing shows like Equaliser, Midnight Caller and Sledge Hammer on there. Or even more popular shows like Quantum Leap. But all series seem to be recent.

    Ah just found a list here that can be sorted by year
    https://www.finder.com/uk/netflix-tv-shows

    Ah well, have Dark Crystal to look forward to this month.

    :confused:

    They would only list the show that they are letting expire. Not the shoes they are trying to renew.

    This probably doesn't belong here, so if a mod thinks there's a more suitable thread, please feel free to move it.

    Anyway, Benioff and Weiss (of Game of Thrones fame) have signed a deal with Netflix worth a reported $200 million. Yikes. That's just... something.

    I won't be watching whatever they write after they did to GOT in the last series what Lucas and Spielberg did to Indiana Jones in the Crystal Skull. I will be one of the few though as its seems the audience loves a good pasteurization these days!

    Aren't they also supposed to be doing a Star Wars trilogy?

    I'll watch something of theirs if I think it looks good and I won't if I think it looks bad. Seems weird to me to rule out watching all of a creator's work because of one bad season.

    They aren't creators in my opinion. They adapted someones books, and when it came to do their own original writing it was a disaster totally out of sync with the original writing. I listened to their reasoning behind their writing for the last season and it was written to please the masses. So I have no interest in more of that, and there's nothing in either of their pasts to suggest they will do anything original or creative.

    The speed with which the internet turned against Benioff and Weiss would make your head spin. From the toast of viral TV to its main villains. I guess it really is true a good story can't survive a bad ending. Outlets are reporting a 9 figure deal with the two, so I'd say neither feel particularly hunted by those slighted over the final season of GoT

    The Naked Director should be well worth a look. Some talented filmmakers on board for it, including Masaharu Take whose 100 Yen Love is the secret best boxing film of the last decade. Plus the story of the Japanese porn industry is mad - genuinely gave some major directors their big breaks :pac:

    The two boys have done very well for themselves, there's no denying that!

    Going way off topic here but David Benioff's books are great, particularly City of Thieves, which is an amazing novel. I wish he would concentrate on novels instead of tv/film.
