Hey all, just looking for some advice. I've a 141 1.6 tdi golf with 144km on the clock. Just wondering if anyone knows when I'm due to change the timing belt.?
I have the manual but can't find the info in it.
Rang local dealer n he said I was fine till 160k but I'm apprehensive as there's a slight hissing noise at the min.
Appreciate the responses, funds are low at the min so buying some time is good but not if screws the engine

    210k kms, no age limit.

It's a long interval but there's no hassle with them lasting the course.

The coolant pumps can seize causing overheating issues and sometimes the tensioners squeak on cold start but if you arent having these symptoms, drive on.

A lot of dealers quote lower intervals to sell belts.
