Hello, is there a charge for firearms substitution licence?

I’m guessing you pay another €80 and lose the balance of time on existing firearms licence?

    Thanks

Thankfully there's no charge and you keep the balance. Happy shooting!

Exactly, it's a modification of an existing licence.

If it's like for like as in unrestricted firearm for unrestricted firearm it just requires approval from the Superintendent and the amended licence will be sent out to you.

In the past I've substituted a .22 Hornet rifle for a .308 rifle and an air rifle for a 12g shotgun without any hassle.
