Domestic Garage building Regulations

Hi - there may be comments on this subject on the thread - so, apologies if it someone has commented previously.

My query is - Does a domestic garage in a rear garden require compliance with the Building Regulations ?.

The garage - constructed in 2013 is 55 sqm - required and was granted planning permission.

It is not a habitable structure, - and is simple uninsulated render brickwork and uninsulated metal roof -

If selling the property, compliance with planning is straightforward but is it necessary to have a compliance certification with Building Regulations - as obviously the structure cannot comply with all the building regulations .

If anyone has experience on this - advice would be appreciated

not exempt as over 25 sq m

I note that the Garage is not exempt - in sating Building Regulation Compliance -

do you think it is sufficient to state -"'substantial compliance with the appropriate Building Regulations" ? or

should a Building Regulation compliance document specify a schedule of those appropriate regs ?

no i dont think the cert should list the appropriate sections of the building regs... but i do think the certifier should be happy that it does comply with the "appropriate sections"
