Ah sure, the 'battle' between the sexes is as old as man or (ahem) womankind. Janice may as well fart against the wind.

A lot of people dying that never died before, in the entertainment world. This summer is not boding well for them at all.

That woman experienced an actual sexual assault and was given a few minutes time and giggles from Katie. Sinead was whistled at and her and Katie were united in their outrage.

    A pair of ridiculous women

Just listened back to the preview to the show and Katie did say Sinéad O'Connor!

She did also say "the journalist Sinéad O'Connor", but still, delighted to know I haven't totally lost it.

I am from now on going to refer to Sinead as Sinead whoever she is

Alright the P45 is not yet in the post, you saved your high paying job :D

I wonder who called who though - Did Liveline call Sinead when they saw her tweet or did she call them after tweeting about the incident?

You crack me up. Evidently the phones were quiet this Monday morning.

Pretty golden show all the same.

Conducted some post Liveline research. Relayed gist of the show to my Mum. She must be “of that generation”-is a fan of catcalling!

I still want to know who the well known sports star was.

That's assuming, of course, that there was a 'well-known' sports star involved. She wasn't prepared to name anyone and therefore she could easily make up that bit just to add a bit of spice to the story.
In fact, she could easily have made up the the whole thing........who knows?

I know pictures can be misleading, but FFS did anyone tell any of these 'celebs' they were at a funeral not a promo tour for one of their own projects so to speak? If the Great One wasn't away he'd have set up a stall to flog de last a de bukes and dat at de back of de church.

Jesus Dickie looks like a rejected Spitting Image puppet, Marty looks like he just fell out of Diceys,

At least he was there in spirit as his familiars - Syl Fox and June Rodgers - attended. I'm only surprised the Kilkenny Elvis didn't get a mention, but I bet he was there.
Ach, it was a showbiz funeral - they're all drawn to a photo op, like flies to a turd.

Never said he wasn't, but it's the nature of the beast that is showbiz. It's riddled with types who see a self-promotion opportunity in everything, including funerals.

She got at least 3 RTE programs for it and replays already.

I very much doubt it, everything out of her gob should be taken with tonne of salt
Im very surprised the King of radio never bothered his fat ass to make it over for the funeral.
But id bet my life savings he will have a show about Brendan when he feels like coming back

Just listened back to the show. I've heard her many times on various panel shows and I generally find her painful. Usually talking about some perceived injustice about funding in womens sports or the like, which of course the white knights on OTB just lap up. I heard the term "injustice collector" before, and I think it's appropriate for her. Almost all of her contributions are about some injustice she feels. Today is just another example. I don't think catcalling is very mature and don't engage myself, but it's something very minor. And I think it's sinister the way she is sort of holding this "well known sports star" to ransom - One word, supposedly, and she could have the feminist mob on him and destroy his career! Just childish, just name him or don't mention him. tbh, if I were that sports guy, I would be getting my side out first. Assuming I existed of course.

But I think the most astounding thing that came to light today was that the councillor apparently walked past all the homeless people on the streets, walked past all the crime and general loutish behaviour on O'Connell Street, and walked past all the open drug dealing on the boardwalk, just so that she could walk down a side street to be offended by something mentally ill man and write it in a report for the UN.

Didn't see him there. He'd be a small fish in a big pond there, that's not his style. He will have a BG commemoration show and he will be the ringmaster.
