Hopefully this panel gets moving again with open and internal assistant principal advertisements going up in the last few weeks.

This might be a silly question but I'm just wondering see the Inter HEO results that have just been announced will they be offered a role before this panel if let's say there is a regional vacancy for AO/HEO?

They could if it’s HEOs they want but sure that panel has only just completed the second testing yesterday. It’ll be some time before a panel is formed.

Did anyone hear of any offers this past while?

In my own mind I'm more or less thinking of September before we'll hear anything. They'll be quiet for the summer and picking up again in September :)

I’m starting to feel very pessimistic about this panel. Training begins in September again and previous placements were given at least 6 weeks prior notice so time is running thin for a September start!

No training starting in September next course won't be until January so there could well be another intake soon.

Just wondering does anyone know how they pull from the panels? I am in the economics panel but considering they are willing to put people through the diploma could you be placed in audit? Also, as vacancies arise could HEO's be placed or how do they decide it's an AO?

Just getting anxious now as panels don't seem to be moving.

I doubt if you could now be placed on another stream at this stage but I'm not 100% sure, did you email panel placing to query?

But I would love to know about the placing process in more detail aswell, I was recently made aware that an AO was promoted leaving a vacancy but this vacancy hasn't been filled. Are they holding out to promote internal staff before bringing people of the open panels?

Has anyone heard of any offers since? If we have not got called for a Sept start does that realistically mean our chances have run out?

Honestly it’s the slowest panel ever. You’d forget you are even on it!

I wonder will the suspension of Parliament in the UK speed this panel up? Wishful thinking on my behalf!

Has anyone had any joy emailing panel placings. I finally gave in and emailed them about 3 weeks ago, but I haven't heard anything since

I have emailed on a number of occasions and either received no reply or a very limited response, its difficult to know where we stand really

    Anyone hear of appointments?

    Anyone hear of appointments?

Unfortunately not, I had hoped there would be another intake shortly, especially after the pay restoration that came into force at the beginning of the month I had thought it would spark some retirement announcements.

Does anyone know anyone working in any office that has heard anything about future appointments etc? I feel as if there is a massive clock counting down until Dec 31st with hope dwindling as every day passes with no news

Just got an email asking if still interested in this job and if so the supervised test will be at the beginning of October. Anyone else got it? I and just wondering how fast are they moving on the panel?

Do you mind me asking what location you had chosen?

Probably depends on your location. I did my supervised test back at the start of the year, interviewed in march and after receiving my panel placing, havent heard a dickybird since. I would wager they dont hire many AO's for my chosen locations in the midlands regions :)

I got the same and I'd selected Sligo

To be honest I don't even remember. Probably West-Clare or Galway. But is it true that this panel is closing 31st of December???

Yes. I had asked if they planned on keeping it going for longer but they said no. A new competition is due to open shortly I believe.
