VW Tiguan v Audi Q3

Hi all,

I may be changing my wife's car in the coming months.

We have narrowed it down to either a VW Tiguan or an Audi Q3. Probably a 2016 model and probably diesel but wouldnt rule out petrol.

As they are the same "stable" of cars, are the only differences aesthetic, price etc or is one better than the other?

Also, anything to look out for in either?

They are both built on the same platform but for 2016 you will be looking at the Q3 model that was launched back in 2011 so will feel a bit older especially inside where alot of switch gear would have been borrowed from the A3 and A4 of the time, whereas the Tiguan would have been a new model for 2016 and got of stuff from the 2015 onwards Passat. Q3 is a bit smaller also if that's important to you. The Q5 would be closer in size to the Tiguan than the Q3 in that respect.
