    Eddie Jones passed away aged 84 last Saturday.

    He played Jonathan Kent on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and starred in the early 2000's Invisible Man TV series.

    Probably best know for his role on the Larry Sanders show he was a main stay on US TV and films including Men in Black for decades

    Saddened to hear that news. Loved the episode of Father Ted he was in, and remember his stand-up shows being shown frequently in the 90s. He had his fun and that's all that matters.

    Was never a big fan. Possibly due to over-saturation of him on RTE during the 70's/early 80's. But when you compare him to some of his peers in the UK with their horribly racist and offensive "humour" you got to credit him. He certainly did help lead the way for the next huge wave of Irish standups that became so successful.

    And in fairness to him. That was a very ballsey thing to do on Fr. Ted. He ran the risk of alienating a lot of his older fans with that amazing performance.


    Fair play to ya Brendan Grace and RIP.
