Checking out a label on a bottle of sherry today it said:

"Refrigerate after opening and use within one month"

    or words to that effect.

I have an opened bottle in a press for the last 5 years.

Is it still ok to drink/use in cooking?

    I think it's a gonner...

"Refrigerate"- so must be a dry sherry. Ideal for your stir fries in place of rice wine. But 5 years.... yeah, i'd still give it a go!

It won't have become poisonous. Taste it and see if you want to use it.

Sherry does lose its flavour after a period of time. What type of sherry was it?

But taste it and see. It should still be good for cooking at a minimum though.
