Is it safe to swim in Seapoint in Dublin today?

I know it got the all clear again last week but there's talk of another brown area in the water yesterday. Does anyone know if it's ok today, Wednesday?

Or where can I check?

The council issues updates on water safety/quality etc so if you're planning future swims, above website would be the place to visit.

The current method of testing seawater takes three days for a result. So the results don't tell you if it's safe to swim today. I am working on a process to get same-day testing of bathing water for Dublin Bay.

In the meantime, don't swim after heavy rain.

Water is tested weekly at Seapoint and you can see from the historic results in the chart below that the water is mostly safe for swimming.
