WhatsApp gif problem

I'm unable to send gifs since the recent update on 1st July. The gifs page loads but nothing happens when I select one. I've tried clearing the cache, I've checked for newer updates, I've force stopped and restarted. The version I'm using is 2.19.188. Anyone else having the same problem ?

Uninstall and reinstall?

You should have a backup, but make sure or do one before you do so you dont lose messages etc

I've just tried uninstalling/reinstalling and updated my keyboard and still no luck

if you're not using google keyboard change to that and try it.

I was using Swiftkey, switched to Google and voilá !!
