Yes really. Top goal scorer in the league had 13 and same player had 16 in all competitions. Need to do a lot better at both ends of the pitch.

    The team was rubbish.

I don't understand how people can divorce the goal scoring from chance creation.

We created F all for our strikers to score from. Without a midfield (which we still don't have) or threat from wide (which we still don't have) wtf are people expecting the centre forward to do?

Do you think Aguero would have got 25/30 goals in that United team last season? Kane? Salah? Not A Chance of it. cause there isn't enough creativity or threat from elsewhere to give them the chances or space.

Does every post needs to go into every detail now?

I would be happy if United added players who are known for scoring goals and taking chances. End of.

No I don't think it fixes the problems in its own right, obviously the way the team functions has to improve. It won't improve by changing players alone either, adding a CB or right side attacker to a poorly prepared side will not do much. Ole has huge work to do on coaching his team.

    Arsenal bid 40m for Zaha.

Surely they will have to go to 60m. 15 for us.

    It's a silly argument.

We conceded too much and scored too little. While it is not about fixing one or the other, both need to be addressed.

Makes no sense to complain if ones fixed that the other should have been instead.

Goals conceded is being brought out again but even when DDG saved us and we had a low total conceded we still had scoring issues.

The main fix will be what tactics we take on, and additions where needed. We need to make more of our possession and actually become calm and controlling on the ball. Too many sloppy mistakes costing us and putting pressure on the defenders, and too many wasted possessions with poor deliver.

Probably covered but good to see Lukaku reported to training earlier than expected.

I'd be a fan of Ole sat him down and convinced him to stay. Still want us to go after Ben Yedder too though.

40m is one of the most deluded offers I've seen if this is true.

It's already below his market value, then couple in the sell on clause, the importance of the player to Palace, and the fact he's got a contract until 2023 it's the most bizarre bid if true.

Any reason why Pogba can't be arsed coming back like everyone else today?

Apparently the international players that participated in the Euro Qualifiers don’t have to report back until later in the week.

    £40,000,001 - United get £10,000,000.25

What if Palace take cash + players? Do we get any monetary value for the players? Or do we take Welbeck or whoever's shin off them?

While I've never bought the notion he is fat, Shaw looks almost gaunt arriving for training, perhaps a good sign of intent from within the squad. Now for Jlingz and Pogba to shut down their Twitters

If Zaha was priced in the region of 40m, should United not be in for him with a the discount, it's not like he came to us when we were in a good place before and you'd imagine he'd be motivated to prove a point

Should we not be in there anyway just to create a bidding war :pac:

Not exactly in a great place now either and from his comments, a return wouldn't be top of his list.

I'd say the Palace board are still laughing at that. They are so ****ing deluded.

They will probably spend near double that on him when it's the defense they need to sort out before they have any hope of getting their house in order.

Has to be at least 40m + 1p.

Seriously though, if Palace have any interest in selling, it'll be closer to 70-80m to start.

Wan Bissaka is due to the U21's. The rest are in the second group of players to go thru their after summer fitness and medicals tests. The first lot were there today

He wants to stay in London apparently and he was a boyhood Arsenal fan so makes sense he fancies that move

Just playing devil's advocate here but a lot of people have said he wasn't in any way overweight to begin with so how could he have lost so much weight if that was the case...

Can't rule out not wanting to face AWB in training everyday either...

On that note, if he's as committed in training as Zaha says, we might see a few lads asking Ole if they can try the right hand side out... problem solved, maybe.

The minimum you expect of any premiership footballer, especially an England international ok over 100k is to maintain a healthy diet. In fact If you don't you should not be paid

Santan Dave is a rapper. There were rumours he was doing something for a united announcement prior to signing awb.

Sancho is in the vid, hanging out with him at the moment.

Such a pity that Sancho seems out of reach this Summer. I’d suffer another season with no right winger though and hoping Greenwood surprises us by filling that gap ahead of others if we just signed a decent Centre Half.
I’m almost certain at this stage that we start the season with Smalling and Lindelof.
