Firmino's pay is apparently heavily incentivised too and his basic pay is relatively low.....relatively. I could see clubs trying to push this where they can.

That was his first contract when Rodgers signed him , He was signed as a midfielder but then Klopp moved him to number 9 and he made a fortune from the goal bonus that was in his contract ,

" this season he earned £25,000 for each of his first five goals which then rocketed up to £45,000 for each of his goals between six and 10, and £65,000 from 11 to 15.
So after picking up £65,000 for his first effort, he added another £85,000 after breaching the next bracket of his incentivised contract 2

He signed a new deal last year,

Sanchez would starve to death on this kind of a deal

If rumors were true about Ben Yedder I would be happy enough.

Haven't seen too much of him to be honest but I have seen him the odd time and he has impressed. Seems like he could do a job.

Still need a top CB and a right winger

I'm guessing Yedder is being signed as the second choice behind Rashford ?

He's just off his best ever season by a distance so that would raise the price but then he is 29 in August and zero international caps , Very hard to call what's value he is ,

What is the price being talked about >

For that price, for that role, I think he would be a great pickup - a really intelligent signing.

    €35million release fee.

That's a very reasonable price in this day and age ,
On paper it looks like a good deal all depends how Yedder handles the Prem impossible to know until he has the chance,

Will never forget that time he came off the bench against us... I expected him to donothing and he got that brace

    Sorry i missed that

All the caps must have been this season ? Because I remember looking at him last season as he stood out in the Europa and at the time he had zero caps ,

Herrera definitely gone if that's the case :(

Of course he is, why wouldn't he? there was a video released as a tribute to him when it was confirmed.

Maybe I saw it and because it was too painful I just blacked it out.

He will be a huge loss next season. One of the very few players who gave it his all when he crossed the white line wearing the red of Manchester.

Herrera has apparently already filmed stuff for the PSG kit launch promotion.

Give the whole FFP stuff resets today, I’d expect to see a good few announcements like him pretty quick now. Same with Griezmann, De Ligt, etc.

    Rashford signs a new deal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,591 ✭✭✭xtal191

Yesterday it was Rashford signing a 250 contract.
    Then it was 200k.
Then it was *something* with heavy incentive bonuses.
    Today it is 300k.

So tiring, as people will take whatever sum they want, to fit whatever narrative they want, and none of it will matter at all.

    And back to 200k

Is that 200k base plus inventives

    Or

200k he could potentially earn if meets targets does anyone know?

Thinking of potential earnings if I stick to the weekly astro with the lads

The Rashford deal gives me absolutely no joy at all. Fully expected him to stay with the club and now the only difference is that every time he hits row Z we have to read about his 300k a week contract.

    I'd say 200k includes bonuses.

Fully expected him to stay but it's 200k.

It's like Ole saying he would be here this season. Totally expected as a minimum so definitely not a great surprise.

The boys are back at Carrington.

    Although Pogba isn't

Ben Yedder is a player I like, scores lots if goals so obviously I would be happy to see United sign him.

Serabia is another I wish United were going for from Sevilla.

I know United need a CB and a RW option but depending on who can be obtained if United add goal scorers to the team and squad I would be very happy.

    Really?

We conceded 54 goals last season in the league. Everton, Leicester, Crystal Palace and Wolves had a better defensive record than us last season.

IMO United looking for Strikers now is a joke as can be expected.

Yes really. Top goal scorer in the league had 13 and same player had 16 in all competitions. Need to do a lot better at both ends of the pitch.

It's the fabled if you score 3 we will score 1 tactic

With our defensive qualities that is a claim we might actually be able to fulfill.

Seriously though, if we don't sign a decent centre half before the season starts I think we will end up finishing outside the top 4 again.

We also only scored 65 goals. City average about 100 over the last 2 years. Robin Van Persie won us the league in 2013, simply because of his goals. The rest of the team was pretty bang average imo. We havent had a proper goal scorer since him. City have Aguero and Sterling, Spurs have Kane, Liverpool have Salah, Mane and Firmino, Arsenal have Aubameyang. We have rashford and lukaku, not even 30 goals between them last season.

RVP had an outstanding season but you are seriously saying De Gea, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Rooney were all "bang average"? Jesus H Christ man
