Is this one of the festivals I'm working at?

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

A couple of questions for anyone who may have attended in the last few years

What is access like in and out of the venue? Long queues or usually well managed?
What time do gigs finish up at? I guess if there is a support act, main act won't start til 9ish?
Are there any roads closed around the area?

I need to get back to Aston/Crampton Quay for 10.45...its only a 10 min walk from Trinity but need to make sure I've enough time to get there

It's usually the Lincoln Gate and Science Gallery Gate entrances. Main archway and Nassau Street entrances are not used for the gigs.

The line up last year was more aimed at the middle aged so just keep that in mind-a more docile crowd :D

Access was fine- I think gates opened as stated, whatever that was, around 6.30 or so. There weren’t many people there at that point. You entered Trinity at the Lincoln place entrance - everything well organized. You could bring seating with you last year.
We exited the same way we came in. I thought it was a bit narrow leaving with the crowds all heading off at once and thought they could have had another alternative exit - so I’d make my way towards the back as the encores are starting. It wasn’t a late ending gig but it could have been close to 11pm when finishing.

I went to Bryan Ferry last year and a large section of the crowd were more interested in socialising and yapping to the point it spoiled it for me and I left half-way through and headed for the pub.

Question. I am bringing my daughter who is 16. Will she get in. See somewhere it says over 18??? Sh1t if that's the case. Any comments?

All the events are officially 'Over 18 - ID Required' so by the letter, yes they could refuse her.

The question of will they ask her for ID is entirely subjective. If she looks younger than 16, you might be unlucky whereas if she could pass for 18, she'll probably be fine.

Nobody can say you'll absolutely be fine and nobody can say you absolutely won't get in. Certainly if she's with someone older, there's a better chance of getting in though.

Hopefully I'm not repeating a previously asked question but, for anyone driving into town (from the north, in my case), where's the best place to park for this? Up at Christchurch maybe and walk down Dame St

Setanta Car Park would be ideal as it's less than five mins away. You can generally prebook parking too.

MCD info says there'll be contactless at the bars.

Amazing sound, short queues, great weather, good setlist.

Best Monday I've had in ages.

Roll on Janelle monae on wens.

Great venue. Just the right amount of people.
