    this is a funny one...

i was taking my kid swimming about a week ago. i was walking through the lobby when a friend tapped me on the shoulder. he takes his kid to the previous swimming session. he held up his phone to me and said 'you just called me'. i looked at my phone and it turns out i did! i haven't called this guy in years so it was a bit strange. i put it down to 'that was weird' and forgot all about it.

anyway, today i bumped into another friend of mine in a shop. i was chatting to him for about a minute and then went on my way. as i got in to my car i could hear a voice coming from my pocket. i thought it might have been something like a fb video or similar. turns out my phone had dialled your man and i had gotten through to his voice mail. again this it is a good while since i called this dude. spooky or what?? is this random coincidence or is there some explanation. i have a s7 phone

Pocket dials are very common with touch screen phones. What security do you use on your phone to unlock (swipe, PIN, fingerprint)?

Your phone might have the feature to be unlocked when its on your person. So could be opening itself up to pocket dialing this way also.

there is a feature for this? call friend in your vicinity? surely some glitch....unless it is actually two random events

'Direct call' function under 'Advances functions' in the settings. It seems like an obvious candidate for the cause of the problem, so I've disabled it. I hope it works.
