It has to be a Negroni! Come prepared, bring a bottle of vermouth.

If you like rum, Long Island Iced Tea; Cuba Libre; Dark & Stormy; Mojito.
    If you like gin, Martini.
If you like vodka but not gin, Vodka Martini or Cosmpolitan.
If you like whiskey, an Old Fashioned or Manhattan.

Don't be afraid to play between the lines, how about a whiskey Mojito or Cosmopolitan?

Espresso martinis are such a crowd pleaser and easy to make.

I love making French 75s, taste just as good with a decent cava instead of champagne (a Spanish 75 maybe!). It's just gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and a top up of fizz. Looks snazzy served in flutes.

With gin you could try a Gin Buck, just gin, juice of half a lime and topped up with ginger ale. Really refreshing long drink.

Spirit of choice, citrus juice of choice, cordial of choice (or just sugar), fresh herb of choice, sparkling water (or sparkling wine).

Make it as long or as short as you like.
Make it as sweet or sour as you like.

Margarita for me. Keep it simple with equal measures of tequila, lime juice and Cointreau, plus a small pinch of salt and a dash of sugar syrup.

The caipirinha is also perfect for this weather. Muddle lime and sugar in a glass, add ice and top with cachaca.
