I think they went too far. If things keep progressing and progressing it cannot go well.

The line is being pushed further and further back.

He said he thought she might be armed. If she was he'd have been shot with those moves. Also she was passing him he wasn't in any danger.

So look after No. 1 and screw everyone else. The Chancellor of the Exchequer and head of the Bank of England were at the head table from what I've read.

I remember when Prescott punched the guy who threw an egg at him, everyone thought that was great and quite funny.

    It was a simpler time.

I'd be interested to see a Venn diagram of people who think this isn't assault and people who think throwing a milkshake is assault.

I'd be interested to see a Venn diagram of people whose bodies are composed entirely of gammon and people who think this isn't assault.

If they're scared of milkshakes, you'd think they'd be needing smelling salts after seeing that, but nope.

No point in a protest that's not inconvenient. It's about being noticed. If they all went into a field in Connemara nobody would notice and it would be pointless.

Invade an event you weren't invited to in order to disrupt it and you're the aggressor. If you start a fight, don't cry when your opponent fights back.

Jesus this is being totally blown out of proportion.

He stopped her from walking further, didnt choke her as some papers would have you believe. Turned her around with his hand on the back of her neck and led her out.

She was smiling as he walked her out. She was not under any physical pain at all.

But the guy will lose his job because the papers are out for blood.

I heard this on the news today and was expecting something much more violent.

Women with a handbag (gatecrashes an event with high level political figures in attendance and gets forcibly removed when she tries to approach top table) - oh my god, the poor woman was almost strangled to death and put through a pillar! Fire this obvious wife beating member of parliament.

    He has apologized BTW.

I would ask him to resign because i hate cowards.

This is why you NEVER apologize to SJWs. There is nothing genunine about their 'performative outrage', it's just a game of gottcha.

Remember when Greenpeace used to run interference in rubber dingeys while whalers water cannoned them?

These little pussies just cry on twitter to get people fired. In my day you weren't even really considered an activist unless you'd been tear-gassed at least twice.

I agree there are issues with Israeli soldiers and palestinian civilians. However that is different because it's in the middle of a conflict zone.

But the point is you wouldn't know if she was or wasn't armed, was Lee Rigby in a conflict zone? Were any of the London Bridge victims in a conflict zone? Was PC Keith Palmer in a conflict zone?

Now before you start, yes I know they weren't women attackers but you don't need to be in a conflict zone.

Headline should read something to the effect of "two pricks get acquainted, security firm lose well paying gig". Such a non-story.

can someone else look up the "how could you, im a WOMAN" gif from batman returns, im posting from a phone

im very meh on the "right to protest" when those involved seemed to want to be applauded and cheered instead of challenged.

if you decide to intrude upon people and create a fuss in order to make a political point, accept that you might be putting yourself in the way of aggression as a result

in order to play the martyr you might have to undergo a little of what actually happened the martyrs, its good reading look it up. theres pictures.

What did he say near the end?.Can you go to bed now please?Looked like this is how he gets his wife to bed when she's nursing a litre of gin all day

No. He didn’t say anything remotely like that!

She said (in my best Liverpudlian accent) “it’s a peaceful protest”

He said (in my most well spoken accent) “oh well (I think), I’ll be peaceful as well”

he was definitely in the wrong but security also should have reacted quicker.

    Anyway I am gay.

But if a guy grabbed my neck in that manner I would expect my husband to DECK HIM! And I would expect the other guy to just not press charges and realize he was punched out by the better man!

Does your husband know you are gay?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,787 ✭✭✭Hamsterchops

I think the mistake he made was to put his hand on her neck. Yes she should have been frog marched out of the room, but that could have been achieved without the 'neck grip'...

    .

If a woman grabbed my girlfriend like that I would, without hesitation, DECK HER.

    what's the difference?

Where is an acceptable place for him to put his hand though?

    At an official protest.
Not invade his space for a media charade.

He used appropriate/minimal force to walk her out.

    Charge her for trespassing.

If he had held her elbows, one hand on each elbow, as he walked her out it would have given much more credence to his position that he was afraid of being attacked.

He might have stood beside & behind her with his right arm behind her gently pushing against her back & ushering her out.

The neck grip was far too intrusive & ugly looking IMO.

I was referring specifically to security in the room. And they WERE in the room.

Obviously they weren't close enough to handle the situation. They can't be everywhere.
Everyone is sexist. Everyone behaves like i just said. They just don't admit it.

Don't you dare speak on my behalf. I would never want to be associated with somebody with such draconian views such as your self.
All the men terrified of a tiny woman. I wouldn't want any of you walking me home at night!

    Good lord!

Appeal to emotion. There's no mention of fear here, yet you imply that anybody who opposes your views on the matter is a coward. Ad Hominem.
    A lot.

I respect the traditional female qualities we DO have.

My apologies if that is not acceptable these days.

Your prehistoric views are, well, prehistoric.
There’s something particularly pathetic about seeing Irish people sticking up for one of these Tory cretins.

What has nationality got to do with this?
I am expressing my opinions. It's rather undermining for you simply say stop with this nonsense.

I must admit my brain might not be as 'logical' as you guys. I might be a little more naive etc. I might not be as smart etc :o

But i am expressing my opinions in the best way i can in a courteous manner. And i think that should be respected even if my opinion is not.

I am a person and I have feelings.

I am just not as good at arguing as you guys. :o

Poor little you. You have the audacity to say some really idiotic things on this thread and then try to appeal to emotion with "I have feelings". The hypocrisy of those three words is completely lost on you, isn't it? You have feelings, you think maybe that others have feelings too?

    She was a woman

    Irrelevant.
    and did nothing.

    Incorrect.
If she has a husband he should go and beat up Mark Fields!

Calling for violence? Such hypocritical vomit.
That is very interesting. Perhaps we would agree on many other things? I dont know.

I actually HATE arguing though. So avoid those threads and just be silly on here :p

I get upset easily. I prefer to talk generally. And i don't like to upset people.

You HATE arguing yet you have over 2000 posts since May which are mostly on threads where you are arguing a point... It looks like you love arguing, but hate being called out on your rubbish posts.
There are metal detectors. I just checked. They went through the entrance as normal and were greeted by police. They were not asked for ID.

They did gatecrash the event though.

Security must have known they have were unarmed.

Not all weapons can be detected by a metal detector.
Most women in the Israeli forces don't see combat no matter what you hear.

And to be honest i don't think they should be in the army anyway.

Why should women not be in the army? That's incredibly sexist.
I respect the feminine qualities in women. I don't think we can protect ourselves no as clearly demonstrated in this video.

I certainly want to be protected yes.

    I am not a feminist.

Who gave you the right to talk for all women? Nobody, so don't. You don't get to tell women where their place is in the world. Shame on you.
    She isn't a man.

    Irrelevant.

I really wish you would stop spamming every thread with your vitriol posts.

Can't believe that he has been suspended. Presumably it would have been better if he had let the person run past him with whatever she had in her hands and make her way up towards the speaker? Was that the correct course of action? This is one of the reasons that females are used as suicide bombers.
