One would hope that some mix of Seamus O Shea and Vaughan would deputise for the next few weeks and hopefully get them over the qualifiers.
They are not bad lads to be stepping in, and hopefully Aiden will continue to perform well there.

The last 8 are only 4 weeks away, I doubt he would even be ready by then.

Dont think Seamie is fit yet. When was the last time he played a competitive match? This time last year?

He played a few minutes during the league and got injured.

Anyone else hear a rumour that David Clarke has walked from the panel...hopefully rumour is all that it is..

Seems improbable if one can deduce from the junior team selected for tomorrow.

    1. Micheal Schlingermann - Kiltimagh
    2. Ronan Conlon - Bonniconlon
    3. David Lydon - Kiltimagh
    4. Barry Leonard - Lahardane
    5. Barry Duffy - Balla
    6. Cian Bourke - Ardnaree Sarsfields
    7. Conor Igoe - Bonniconlon
    8. Sean Walsh - Kiltimagh
    9. TomFahey - Kilmaine(C)
    10. Liam Moran - Swinford
    11. Adrian Leonard - Lahardane
    12. Brendan Carr - Ardagh
    13. Michael McGarry - Eastern Gaels
    14. Keith Hopkins - Crossmolina Deel Rovers
    15. Darragh Keavney - Kilmeena

Unfortunately it's another sorry tale as the juniors lose the Connacht final.

    Mayo 0-9

    Galway 1-7

We badly need to turn the tide against the Tribesmen.

Galway will lose the Connacht final

Mayo will get to round 4 and draw them.

    Then the tide will turn.

That's only 3 weeks to wait.

Afraid it looks unlikely, Christ this Mayo defeat looks even worse watching Roscommon in that first half.

Roscommon very poor indeed and Galway not much better. It's a poor game. Althoigh Galway doing well to shoot accurately in those conditions.
Certainly brings into focus how bad we were.

It seems there's another rumour doing the rounds folks today, any idea what it is?

Surely if you know there is a rumour then you know what it is? 🙄

No, I've just seen Ah Ref on twitter saying there is another rumour and someone on Mayo Gaa blog just after posting about more very worrying news today. Why would I ask if I knew?

    Haven't heard anything today.

Maybe someone got injured walking out from the panel.

Big blow, broken collar bone for one of midfielders from Breaffy who isn't an O'Shea

I sound like a crazy person now, but he posted the same thing on Friday night after Ruane's injury. It's a gif of a mill... i.e. a rumour mill. Anyway I'm sure if
there's anything in it, we'll know sooner rather than later, a four week break between games is too long.

    Cheers that makes sense.

    I was doubting my sanity.:)

At least it will be quiet on here tonight
The lad with the big green hands can’t have too much to say after this weekend

Well deserved by the rossies. Galway embarrassing all over the pitch.
Maybe the Galway trolls from our loss will appear tonight for a chat?

Shocking display from Galway in that second half. Did they think they only had to show up for the second half?
Have to say, I'm happy for the Rossies. At least they went out and gave it a proper rattle and they closed the game out well, even showing a bit of cuteness in the end. That system Galway are married to is going to get them nowhere.

    Leave them with it.

To be fair Cunningham deserves a lot of credit for stopping the rot in Galway hurling, In the previous 5 years before he became Galway manager they reached zero AI finals. He turned a bunch of talented but flaky Galway men and molded them into a very physical hard nosed outfit. The Galway panel that won the 2017 All Ireland was basically built under the good work by Cunningham.

    It beats Mayo every time!

And that seems to be the height of Galway's ambitions
