Didn't you have a similar rant in the Emmerdale thread a few months back?
    Oprah was in Emmerdale?

What exactly is funny about it? Are u trying to say racism doesn’t exist white people.

I bet u wouldn’t write that if I had said she was racist against Arabs.

i think if you follow right wing media, white people are regularly being oppressed against

The guy I was replying to was giving out that the programme where 5 victims of police injustice and wrongful imprisonment was going to be biased.

    Well, D'oh...

I'd be biased if I was wrongfully incarcerated and then treated like crap by the city of New York after my release.

Fair enough and i wouldnt expect anything else from those 5.
But i dont trust Oprah to just do her job as an interviewer and be just that, a host.

Considering she was an Exec Producer on the TV series, I'd take the whole "interview" with a huge pinch of salt. It smacks more of self promotion on her behalf on the back of a popular "TV event".

She was nowhere to be seen when the Central Park 5 were exonerated in 2002.

List sums up the general common denominator on Netflix, quantity of viewers over quality of programming.

"A Royal Affair". About the rise and fall of the 18th century Danish royal favourite Johann Friedrich Struensee. A bit like a cross between "The Madness of King George" and "The Duchess", except it's Danish.

Season 4 just finished on ITV and as it was the end of the series there was a fantastic one off special called "What the Durrells did Next" where Keeley Hawes detailed the history of the family in real life.

Oh, another vote for I am Mother here too. Really enjoyed it last night.

Really enjoyable show, I read the first of the books "My Family and Other Animals" years ago, well worth a look too, all from Gerald's PoV so a lot of talk about his animals :)

I read the first book a couple of years ago and adored it, but I found the show a bit dull. Does it pick up? I only gave it an episode or two.

No it doesn't really change much, same pace and tone all the way through imo so if you didn't like the first two episodes it might not be for you.

Netflix's first Arabic show is attracting negative attention because a girl is outrageously slutty in it. (She kisses a boy.)

I just watched the boy who harnessed the wind. Quite a beautiful film. With Chiwetel Ejiofor who also writes and directs it.
