As a proud Corkman this is hard to admit, but I find / found it easier to deal outside of Cork for my last 2 cars (Suzuki swift import, and current Honda insight UK spec)

Rang 5 garages in Cork city and supplied photos via what's app of my old car
Was quoted ridiculous trade in amounts (without even the dealers seeing the motor)
Went to Declan Gill Santry (gent)? offered e7000 trade in against a e9000 Honda insight 2013, and e7000 also from Darragh OReagan Newcastle,co Dublin who I eventually went with

No real haggling etc, nice deal/warranty, customer care top notch
Last car I also bought away from Cork (Jim Carrey Cahir) think the Cork dealers need to step up a bit on customer care, or do they think they've a monopoly down here

Love to hear people's opinions, is this the same all over the country ie ppl getting better service away from home?
    Thank you .

This is always the way, local competition averages comming together. Larger market ie Dublin = more competitive.
