It's not live and it's 20 minutes of an empty stage from two hours ago.

Don’t think so unless they came on stage at 7.30.
Plus it has the opening song.

They are live now in another video. It'd the 3rd video they've uploaded

I had to laugh when yer man from the Meath Chronicle said and here we have the Metallica intro music and it was AC/DC's Its a long way to the top. :D:D

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Which was presumably the intro song?

Is it? Didn't know that was the intro, thought it was just incidental music playing before the band came on, was expecting some dramatic classical music as the intro like the Prodigy at EP last year.

No it was just one of the songs playing over the PA pre show.

They had The Ecstasy Of Gold as usual.

The previous show in Paris had a better setlist imo, heard Lords of Summer live 5 years ago and it was awful then, hoping not to see it in London and just the 4 Hardwired songs, not 5.

    From the 2019 Gigs thread:

There's no way whatsoever thesedays that Metallica could fill Slane. Even the RDS would be pushing it for them now and that's not even half the capacity.

    LOL

    Hey, I was wrong.

The memory remains and frantic....so many better songs they could have played over those two. Otherwise, pretty decent setlist.

Was looking at the stream were they thirty minutes late on stage, they were supposed to kick off about 8.15.

Enjoyed that. Did get out after creeping death to beat the queue.

Not sure how he got in it but there some lad beside me up front who recorded the whole show on a dlsr camera. He watched the whole thing his viewfinder. Ridiculous.

Yup I left early as well. Ultra depressing for me as I drove down on spec this afternoon and Slane is no place to be sober!

It was amazing other than the torrential p*ss between 4.30pm and 8pm which really f*cked up the ground and left everyone unnecessarily miserable for a while. Getting in and out of Slane used to be a real gripe but Marlay Park, Malahide are they actually any different now?

Slane still is the Big Daddy of all gigs and festivals, there's a magic at that site that no where else has. You just walk in and think, f*ck.

Despite the organizers “robust traffic plans”, the horror stories should arrive in 3, 2,1......

IALWTTT is always the last song played over the PA before TEOG starts.

Is it not fairly established at this stage that they do long way... Then ecstacy of gold, then come on?

Anyhoo really enjoyed the gig, thought bokassa (out whatever they're called) were class, stiff little fingers were fairly shyyyte)(though I hate punk). and ghost were just OK. Metallica were incredible
