Is that the same trophy that Hendo lifted? Where is the champions league logo that is clearly visible on the base when it was lifted on the Saturday, either they have knocked it off or someone has sneakily switched it ;)

In fairness to Sterling, that's serious strength to shrug him off in the first place but as for the sequel, well, you don't boo Virg.

well imo he used his arm to push VVD.. so should have been a free to Holland..

I thought it was a case that you lift the real trophy on the podium and the pitchside celebrations etc and then it’s taken back and a replica is given to take away no? I think I remember them saying something along those lines the last time I done the Anfield tour

We are the only team in England that will ever have a real champions league trophy as they don’t give them out anymore no matter how many you win

New away kit is awful, that collar looks like some kinda blouse, why couldn't they just have a yellow version of the home kit with red pinstripes like in the early 80s it would have sold like hotcakes

not really a fan of it... would prefer all other crazy NB away jerseys .... but all white seems strange

They missed an opportunity there. That would have been a must have.

Wonder will they change it to the PL trophy when we win it next year ! :P:p

Add a separate trophy.....seeing as football only started in 92

Or the grey/silver jersey of the late 80s....loved Barnsey in that

Not a fan of the kit, fine with the white jersey but why navy as the secondary? I miss the old dark green and white combo.

I have the retro jersey from the LFC shop that (I think) the new jersey is modelled after. They also have a yellow one.

I wasn't even born in the 80s and even I appreciate how nice they are. Hopefully they keep doing more updated versions of old jersey's including away ones.

    Departing with Moreno and Sturridge:

    Connor Randall
    Adam Bogdan
    Juanma
    Conor Masterson
    Glen McAuley

    Corey Whelan
    Ben Williams

Contract offers have been made to Bobby Adekanye, Daniel Atherton, George Johnston, Abdi Sharif and Edvard Tagseth.

Not a great surprise, Randall still being on the books is a disgrace, just wasting everyone's time.
Bobby Adekanye was making noises about leaving to Lazio.

Freesports are showing Brazil v Honduras live on Sunday evening at 8 PM KO. It's being played in Porto Alegre as a Copa warm up.

Quite the turnaround for Masterson. I know there he was only getting a game in the most extreme circumstances when he was named in the squad last year but obviously they thought highly of him to be there in the first place.

We are going for a seventuple next season which is totally crazy when you think where this club was before Klopp took over.

Losing 6 - 1 to Stoke to this

    Boom.

Stumbled across the highlights last night on some random Sky channel of our 3-0 loss to Watford from December 2015 :eek::eek:

Pretty horrific stuff tbh...was lucky to get any sleep after it at all...

Back 5 of Bogdan, Moreno, Skrtl, Sakho and Clyne :eek::eek::eek:

Liverpool had the best defence in the PL last season and its basically because Klopp got rid of nearly every defender who was at the club when he arrived.

That 5 above are lower half PL standard.

Bar Joe Gomez (who was a kid) I can't see a single decent defensive or GK signing in the post Rafa/Pre Klopp era.

Only makes me appreciate Klopp more!:D

But they said Klopp cant organise a defence and can only play one way.

Lovren? Although I know he'll be gone soon

    Sakho was good

Rodgers hadn't a clue when it can to defense. If he had we may have to won a league under him.

Clyne was a decent player.... highly thought of when we bought him from Southampton

Also Jose Enrique was a good left back, I'll stand by that.

    Serious?
Like Lovern, a liability waiting to happen. Shown it at Palace as well.

Could have a good 80 mins but always had a 10 min spell when it looked like he had turned in Djimi Traore......"he just cant he just cant he just cant control his legs".
Was never a serious enough proposition if we were to go the elite level. Kloop gave him every chance as well but kept acting the clown off the pitch also!

People always remember the standout mistakes, but Enrique (pre-serious-injury), Lovren, and Sakho were all excellent defenders for the most part. Sakho was a collossos - it's not his playing ability that saw him bombed out, it was his mentality. Clyne was excellent too, but just not the sort of fullback we need under Klopp. All defence, no attack.
