Probably only Real who have got to 3 finals . We are not at that level and don't have a Ronaldo type player.

Even the best Barcelona team didn't do it.

Ajax, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Juventus, Benfica, Real Madrid all went to 3 finals in a row. Real separately also technically went to 5 in a row.

Liverpool have been to 2 consecutive finals 3 times

Doing back-to-back-to-back used to be all the rage but then there were far fewer teams to get past with just 32/16/8/4/2 rounds.

Not exactly putting down the money on us winning it but whoever would knock us out will earn it.
I'd rather focus on the league next season as if in the future Man City get a UEFA ban they'll walk the league ahead of other contenders with midweek games.

Just reading a stat after the game tonight VVD has played more minutes of football this season than any other player in any league in Europe.

We'd be fcuked if he gets a bad injury.

How can that be correct? He didn't even play all of our games. Becker surely had more minutes. I would have thought one of the Chelsea lads like Azpilecuetta would have the most minutes given the number of games they played and ET etc

Maybe it includes internationals? I’d say he’s played all of Holland’s matches.

The only Liverpool games I remember him missing were the home leg against Munich (suspension), and I’m assuming he didn’t play against Chelsea in the League Cup or against Wolves in the FA Cup. I’d say Becker has played one more game for Liverpool than VVD – that being the Munich game.
