playing r 3 dvd on mitsubishi portable telly

i have a multiregion dvd player ( lidl one) and was wondering will a region 3 dvd work when i play it on a mitsubishi portable. its a few years old so doubt its ntsc compatable. cd-wow.com.hk have some cheap r3 discs , city of god being one for 10 euro.

If it isnt NTSC compatable it'll play in black and white.
The picture may be out of synch too.
