Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

OK, since Almeras ain't so popular in these parts, how about this yoke?

Mileage relatively low, tested till Feb 20, reg is blocked in the ad but visible on the windscreen discs and seems to check out, plus 2 months tax for €400.

And it's a saloon, not one of those Quasimodo liftbacks.

The liftbacks are not the most beautiful thing toyota ever produced but put the seats down and their practically is suberb. I have a liftback carina and she is like a van

one of these might suit. Insurance would be the big hurdle though for someone over 80.

Thanks for the links, Selectamatic, but I only got one of them to open up for me.. Yeah, you're right about insurance, last car was (Micra) pretty high, over 1000 with NCB.

All links seem to be working on my end. I checked on the laptop and phone and they seem sound on both.
Out of all of them I'd probably pick the jazz for an 80 year old. good high driving position and they're a relatively short car. The one I have linked is a bit faded but otherwise it seems to be very clean and honest. Last change of ownership was in April 18. I'd imagine a few pound could be knocked off the asking price and it's taxed till the end of June.

A ****reon c4 with test till next year, two months tax and intergalatic milage. Looks clean enough and as a 2005 up in the years enough that you might get insurance somewhere.

If you are over in the wesht you could do worse for 350.

    350 skins

    Test till Feb 2020

Located in Laois. Thats the midlands / not south east asia.

450 lids and looks like from the comments the seller is determined to get it. Owner has emigrated, but no mention of where he has gone.

Seat ibiza with a boot or Cordoba as its called in some markets.

Its 2005 and milage aint bad. Tested till next year. Clean besides a bit of lacquer peel.

James will take 400 clams for it. I have no idea what he will spend the money on. Probably magic beans

In 2003 R Kelly was riding high in the charts with his track Ignition - Things have not worked out so well for Robert since.

Also from 2003 is this honda Civic. It seems to have fared out better than R Kelly over the last 16 years or so and with it being taxed till the end of the month and tested till July, for 500 clamshells you too can be bouncing on 24s. Or probably 14s.

Clean and capable looking 2004 Suzuki Vitara with test till 2020. Low miles and with a 1.6 litre petrol powa plant.

Its 400 shekels for the pleasure of driving this away and looking at the comments you will need to stump up this amount because the seller, Wolf, he must be hungry.

Lorna in Castleknock is selling her Focus. Its 2002 and has a test till Feb 2020 and is in good condition.

She listed purchase of a new car as the reason for the sale, however this isnt true. In actual fact shes just broken up with her on again/off again boyfriend of 2 years, Ettienne. Hes a Belgian man who came to Dublin to work for Google. The car reminds Lorna too much of their good times together and since she is determined to make a fresh start, the car has to go.

Shes asking for 500 but looking at the comments its clear she will settle for less. Just like her love life of the last two years.

Nice 2004 VW polo for sale here. Not much over 60 k miles on this with some recent work done.

Only a little bit of test left on it and i am wondering why Quinner is reluctant to re test it. He seems to be in a hurry to sell and will take 400 sheets for it.

Truth is Quinner is about to leave town and needs shot of it. Australia is probably his destination. He can play a bit of Gaah with his cousins that went out there last year and work on de buildings. Be some craic in fairness, Quinner.

    Bon Voyage Quinner mate.

People often comment on the accents that you can find in Louth. And generally in an affectionate manner.

Nothing to do with dialect however, check out this Accent hai

    http://www.adverts.ie/18050425

Its gonna set you back 500 lids but this accent is 2004 tested till september and in good shape.

I think its worth a punt, so I do.

Seems to have agreed a price with Pashka of 400 paesos but keep an eye on it because Pashka has the attention span of a squirel. Last Xmas eve she went into town to get the kids presents, stopped into o'briens for some cider and double parked outside. Sure the car got towed, presents and all. Ruined Christmas for the young 'uns.

Growing up Patrick always wanted an American muscle car. He saved his confirmation money and managed to get himself a Chevy. Now he realises its actually a Daewoo Kalos the magic of cruising around Tallaght, fooling himself info thinking it was just a grottier part of Miami has finaly eroded and now the car is up for grabs.

    http://www.adverts.ie/18094080

Its 2005 with decent milage and tax and test till June ends. Clean looking to boot. So if you have ever harboured fantasies of pursuing the American Dream, can i recommend you start in South Korea. Or to be more accurate, India.

Adam is off-loading his Picasso. 2003 with test till next year it looks like it could do someone some service. Only issue Adam mentions is an issue with the paint on one side. This is ironic as Picasso himself had some issues with paint during his Analytic Cubism period from 1909–1912.

    http://www.adverts.ie/18096829

Pablo's work is regarded as some of the most influential of the 20th Centuary. Will Adam's Citroen be as highly regarded in the coming years?

For 270 bucks, Id say not.

Maryosullivan63 from Wexford has this fabulous motor for your appraisal.

Japanese technology, cheapest of tax, reliable, economical, nct and not intergalatic milage either.

Its a 2003 Nissan Micra. Mary says its running lovely. Probably not running as well as Maria Bailey in a 10km after hitting the deck following a skinful of stout* but running pretty good all the same.

Doonbeg has been in the news a bit lately, mainly because of a famous local business owner visiting his hotel and playing a round (no wonder Melania wont hold his hand)

But no mention of this little Japanesse minter being sold over there. Ok, its no spring chicken (just like the comander in chief himself) but it has been tested and that will run till May 2020. Its fully tax compliant (unlike the Donald) until September.

I felt compelled to post this jammer because of the levels of Xenophobia and Automysophobia the description contains.

Its a 2007 Megan Wagon and while we are down to the last few days of tax and test, its decent milage and the condition is good.

Kevin find a USP in the fact that the last owner was a "Very Clean Non-Smoker" - quite what the level of hygine of the previous owner has to do with the car or his or her pass-times is beyond me.

He also pushes the fact that the car is Irish. Not some of that foreign muck. Must be a Ren'O in that case?

Anyway, give Kevin a call. Swing by with 500 lids and you will leave with diesel powered Paddy wagon and fiver in your pocket to get you home.

As I have ben doing for a while now, will post things that fit the scope of the thread, but dont take my advert reviews to seriously ;-)

If you re-read it, focus on the lack of punctuation - so by "Very Clean Non-Smoker" - it says the owner was a non-smoker and was clean - the person, not the car.

Ah forget it. If you have to explain........
