Connecting a Ring V2.

I got a ring V2 . It comes with a rechargeable battery band instructions for optional wiring.
Does it need a transformer and if so what type?

A friend got a ring and it came with one. Mine didn't

You should get a 16 time 24Va output dinrail Trafford.

Have you a wired doorbell already, don't flute around like I did with a 12V one.

If there is a wired one already there and it works, it is wired into the fusebox. An electrician needs to wire the new transformer into the fusebox. The Ring Video Doorbell 2 can be hardwired so you don’t need to charge it etc. For best operation of the Ring 2 get a 24V traffo.

Yep - traffo/transformer same thing. You can get them in most electrical suppliers. They generally have the option of 8/12/16/24 built in. Your electrician will know. Do not attempt to wire it in yourself to the fuse board as it is illegal/highly dangerous.
