Anyone got a knack for replacing the cover for the cable on a Garmin computer? I can't get that little 'thing' down into the hole.

Patience and possibly using a knitting needle or chop stick, can be a pain alright

You could try wrapping fishing line around it, and pulling it tight to compress the grommet. Leave enough length so that you can un-ravel it after you get it in place, if it won't pull out.

You'll need to open up the device as they're is likely glue/adhesive from the old one still in place. Clean that out and then put the new cover in place adding your own glue/adhesive to keep it there... Hopefully.
