Trump is visiting his hotel in doonbeg. He has no interest in Ireland or meeting people here. Leo has to meet him at the airport as he refused to go anywhere except his hotel.

    Small potatoes. ;)

If you think that democracy is better than despotic leaderships full of nepotism then you have to accept that he was the chosen one of the majority of Americans who voted. And news for the permanently outraged.... he will be again come the next election. So maybe build a bridge and get over it.

Welcome to Donald, Doonbeg is beautiful and a lovely hotel to boot.
Just for clarity, most people who voted didn't vote for the the pussy grabber.

Hotel is meant to be a kip.

3 diff ppl I know told me the same.

    Overpriced and scruffy.

Carpets fraying etc, stains on furnishings.

As for food one man whose opinion I’d respect told me the chowder was very very average and the brown bread served with it was stale. This was approx 6 weeks ago.

Not good enough considering the price point.

Main thing to see/do there is a big clock at the golf course. People are encouraged to get selfies with the clock.

why would he want to meet leo?
Leo shot himself in the foot with his negative trump guff to appease the righteous with the correct sound bites.

In fairness, he's only visiting his hotel in Doonbeg because it's "convenient". Ah, yes. The world renowned convenience of the hour long drive from Shannon Airport to Doonbeg. :pac:

What I'd imagine is convenient for him is that the US tax payer will foot the bill for him to visit his own hotel where he'll likely meet up with business partners and donors. As f*cked as the Irish political system and leadership is, it doesn't hold a candle to the US.

And the us taxpayers will also foot the inflated rates in the hotel. Win win for the big orange turd

It's one of the finest hotels in the country. Magnificent views, beach and Sand dunes. The staff there are the nicest I have encountered and all seemed happy to work there. He employs 300 people at the height of summer and goodness knows how many spin off jobs locally. Maybe go on trip advisor or booking.com and read reviews for yourself to get an honest assessment and one that doesn't fit in with your own agenda.

Think the guy spends most of his time playing golf in one place or another in fairness.

Has cost the American tax payer a minor fortune.

Minor ?.What's your idea of a major one ?

He's unconventional, he's imperfect, I disagree with him on some issues like gun control.

On a whole, however, a great leader. Tells it like it is, the subject of unbelievable media bias, shows disrespect to those who deserve no respect, and isn't an employee of a higher up foreign power like our own "leaders" are.

Tells it like it is? He lies all the time. Do you mean he plays to your beliefs or other's beliefs that are not proven by any actual metrics or facts?

Sorry my agenda stretches to what I was told by ppl I trust and respect their opinions. Ppl who regularly are in top hotels.

3 diff ppl told me it was a kip

    Scruffy and outdated furnishings/decor

Poor food. Stale brown bread served.

Not good enough at the price levels they are at

One guy said to me it’s like a museum dedicated to trump with loads of photos etc on wall of him and his family

Another fella said to me it’s like a musty old hotel that doesn’t get any footfall in the off season and is let go to the bad.

I would trust and respect their opinions and happy to pass on their reviews here.

BBC News is reporting that moments before he landed at Stanted, Trump tweeted that London's mayor is"nasty and a "stone cold loser". What a sicko

Why can't we have decent moral fellows like the Chinese PM visit ?

Or the Saudi boys. Good lads that lot.

Was in it a couple of times. Your contacts are correct it's a shíťhole. Overpriced and extremely underwhelming. Looks like a borstal when you're approaching it

Khan called trump a 20 th century facist.

Trump will be back during his next term too if we are nice to him.

I’m glad someone is able to back up what I’d been told

I do not have any agenda against it I’m only passing on what I’ve been told.

And he said something about Meghan. The man is a genius when it comes to the media. People can't deny that. Companies spend millions on media campaigns. Takes him one or two tweets to do the same job.

You can get independent views on third party websites like booking.com and TripAdvisor that rubbish those claims you have made. I have stayed there myself so I know. There is one picture of him with his family between pro shop and golf locker room but apart from that I didn't see anything else. Certainly not some museum/shrine that your "friends" told you about. I would advise anyone to stay there. They do a brilliant Black Friday sale actually and you can stay there at a quieter time of year. Ideal to relax before holiday season begins.

His fanboys should be careful not to take pics of him on a Huawei phone, or it will end like a rerun of the Conor McGregor incident :D

They are not claims I made myself. Ppl I know who I trust and respect their opinion told me. I havnt been and no plans to visit but if I do I will look up the online reviews.

Sometimes though word of mouth from ppl you know yourself is even better than random anonymous website reviews.

He's literally told more than 10,000 lies since he became president

As for the museum comment I believe that was in a bar or a dining room in the hotel itself. Loads of pics of trump and family on walls is what I was told.

Says he hopes the queen had hand sanitiser after shaking trump’s hand !!

To be quite honest it doesn't matter how it goes. He's not taken seriously by anyone in any of the US multinationals we tend to attract. At best they humour him to avoid toddler like tantrums. He's attempted to lecture CEOs of major multinational corporations about how to run their already very successful businesses, to the point that they see him as a joke.

He's also now basically unable to get anything insane through Congress.

Trump will in all likelihood be a bad memory in a couple of years time. So just sit back, put on the kettle and enjoy the spectacle as he insults all around him and makes ludicrous statements.
