    Pity the ref has spoiled things with a joke decision.

    Best talent on the field that half was the pitch invader.

    Even VVD looks nervous for Liverpool. Can't get my head round this game so far. Very disappointed with this first half.

    Yeah, getting a pre-season vibe off the whole thing. Players working hard but their touch etc is off and it makes the game messy.

    Worst quality I've seen in a Champions League final, hopefully the second half can improve.

    Debatable penalty I thought, but the last year or so has shown me how much my concept of what 'should' be a penalty is often very much at odds with FIFA.

    Spurs struggling to get the ball out thanks to Liverpool's really high press, and when they kick it long Van Dijk just heads it back towards them.

    They have actually done alright in midfield, but have lost the ball so many times through sloppy passes, especially in the final third. Eriksen has been poor so far I thought, Kane hasn't got into the game.

    Liverpool look more threatening when they get the ball in the final third, and if the score stays like it is, they'll have more space to exploit.

    Brutal enough game. Never a penalty. Spurs on top of possession and territory but they are awful in the final 3rd.

    Hopefully Spurs get the equalizer and force pool to play a bit of football as they have been chronic.

    How Poch chose Kane to start instead of Moura I'll never know. If Liverpool keep playing like that then it will be 1-1 soon enough.

    If this game was being played in the Brandywell between two LOI teams I’d be appalled, it’s really that bad. Not just entertainment quality but the amount of bad mistakes, miss hit passes and poor options.

    Spurs will have taken a big shot of confidence from the last 15 minutes there though. They were largely the better side just about...need more quality in the last third though.

    You can sense the desperation off Liverpool. They need to get this trophy and they know it. If Spurs equalise here, it'll be fascinating to see what happens. Don't think they've a goal in them though. The Kane decision was the wrong one.

    While it is very harsh we have seen those penalties been given. E.g Utd vs PSG. But why the hell had he is arm up like that

    Moura on at half time would be a good move. Kane is invisible out there.

    Didn't know about arm above shoulder part of that rule. Fair enough, I take back what I said, it's a peno but it's still harsh.

    The long lay-off hasn't helped, game was been noticeably lower in quality than normal for both sides. Would expect to improve in the 2nd half, Tottenham should take more chances
