I am the only person I know that prefers canned beer to bottles. They're just so crispy, and bottles seem to go flat quicker.

Irish Heineken is manky in my opinion. The 5% one you get in England is nice, and in Holland it's nice too.

Carlberg made important advancements in brewing scince/bio chemistry including inventing the pH scale. So cut them some slack with all your pißwasser talk.

They also developed purified yeast, which eradicated 'beer sickness' and sent samples freely to all other brewers.

A lot of the bottles you find on special offer are often lightstruck. Which gives it a skunky aroma (apparently). So if yer getting bottles at least make sure they're in cardboard or plastic.

Imported Heineken draft and pint bottles would be by go to in most pubs or bars if they have it. My favourite is a wheat beer made in Co.Clare by the western herd brewing company called black beat. Some local bars have it on draft as I live in clare. Bottles aren't bad either.

Something happened about ten or so years ago and it has never recovered, heard different theories as to why such as the yeast that they used here spoiled. They tried a few gimmicks like knifing the head level etc to try and keep people buying it but the change in the taste just killed it for a lot of people.
