Need to return something with Amazon.de, only willing to refund €11 postage?

An Post's calculator and entering the parcels details into parcel2go both give me quotes in the €30-40 range, will they refund the rest or am I to be at least €20 out of pocket for their mistake? Kinda puts me off from using the .de site tbh, thought they'd at least refund the whole lot seeing as they can't provide a free An Post label like .co.uk do.

    Was it their mistake?

Can you use the EU cancellation policy/right to withdraw?

Is this the return label? Seems pretty basic to actually be a proper return label compared to the An Post one you get with .co.uk?

Anyway, I got onto support, and they will return the full postage amount, even told me to insure the package, which is gonna end up costing me €70 to post considering the item was €700.

That's it but yes - not like the co.uk one which mentions postage paid. If they've committed to refunding the postage, then I'd be happy to pay for it and sent back.

Just an update, bought a very expensive label through parcel2go, sent the invoice I received from them to Amazon and got fully refunded literally hours later, before the package has even been collected. Top notch service from Amazon as usual.

It makes you wonder why Amazon will refund your high postage cost rather than issue a prepaid return label, where their commercial shipping cost would only be a fraction of that postage.
